We were not expecting that... We were in Charlottesville for a night and I chose Fleurie for dinner due to it's location and the fact it had foie gras on the menu. What an absolute treat... as my husband said "this is last meal good". Michael, our server, was fantastic. The food was delicious, steaks perfectly cooked, portion sizes for humans not birds. We hope to visit again next time we are traveling to Charlottesville, it is a meal we will continue to use as a benchmark of fine dining in a wonderful, comfortable setting.
Chef was "playing" with the amuse bouche and had several platings throughout the meal, making the pace of the meal just perfect. Wine was carefully paired. We had a wonderful time
Fleurie is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Charlottesville; and that is, given the level of extraordinarily fine cuisine available in this town, saying something. The service is simply impeccable, and the creativity and breadth of the menu offerings is truly astounding. Frankly, I have dined at lesser places that have been awarded Michelin stars; it is a mystery to me why Fleurie has not been awarded one. And while nominally a three-course prix-fixe menu is offered, the number and variety of fabulous amuse-bouches that are provided really make it a six-course experience. I simply cannot get enough of this absolutely wonderful place.
Our dinner at Fleurie was absolutely flawless. As someone dining with a friend who has Celiac disease, I cannot praise the kitchen enough for their incredible accommodation. They made her feel completely safe and included by providing an experience just as elevated and refined as the standard menu. We began with a beautiful progression of hors d'oeuvres and a silky lobster bisque, followed by perfectly seared scallops. For the main courses, the venison was tender and masterfully seasoned, while the lobster was a delicate and buttery triumph. The in-between courses really set this restaurant apart. We loved the thoughtful amuse-bouche to start and the chocolate pre-dessert that served as the perfect bridge to our final courses. We finished with a dramatic Chocolate Bomb and a classic Grand Marnier Crème Brûlée, followed by a lovely plate of mignardises to close the evening. Fleurie is the gold standard for French dining in Charlottesville. It is intimate, professional, and genuinely caring about dietary needs. This is a must-visit for any special occasion.
The food is consistently amazing. Everything we tried was innovative and delicious. The drinks were perfectly crafted. What also really sets Fleurie apart is the exceptional customer service. Michael, Naundi and Wesley were so nice and professional. They really made the evening feel special! Thank you Fleurie for an unforgettable dinner!
I just went to this restaurant for New Year’s Eve. It was a little on the pricey side for the prix fix meal, but there were a lot of little extras and for a New Year’s Eve celebration it was fantastic! Naudi made the night extra special for me!

Far and away the best restaurant in Charlottesville. We celebrate our wedding anniversary there each year. It never disappoints
We had a terrific anniversary dinner at out favorite local restaurant for a special celebration. Creative French dishes and excellent service in a lovely room. Expensive, but worth it for a special dinner.
Restaurant was cold, entrees were ok (I had rib and wife had filet), cost is extremely high, but waitress was wonderful.
Nice French Restaurant. Slow paced. Outstanding service. Small treats between before between and after courses which were outstanding. Wine pairing was spot on. The meats that we had were good but not great. All vegetables superbly prepared.

I would not recommend spending $150 + on this restaurant. I went to celebrate a birthday with a couple friends, hoping to have a great experience. The service was mediocre at best, as our waiter switched halfway through. The second waitress was much better. The food was good, but if you are paying $150 I would expect the food to be not just good, but exquisite. I would definitely recommend saving your money or taking it to a different place.

WHAT the heck happened to my favorite restaurant? When we go to Fleurie and we do often, I understand I will spend hundreds of dollars to have a creative, artful, great quality dining experience. However, the past couple of times I dined at Fleurie the food was very disappointing. I keep coming back thinking it's a one off. But no its not. This week the scallops were raw almost sushi, the diced broccoli side tasted moldy, the entree short ribs were all fat fat fat. I left both the appetizer scallops and short ribs entree on the plate! The saddest part is the server didn't even ask why we left our food behind. I am very sad that my favorite restaurant is no longer an option for anniversaries, birthdays, or just a needed night out for us. Please fix this and go back as you were. Once you do let us know, that's when I'll return.

Wonderful evening! Food was delicious and ample, wine pairings were spot on. Service was attentive, friendly, and put you at ease, without lags between courses. We only wished we lived closer so we could come back often. These folks know what they're doing!
