Great local chocolatier.
I'm not a chocolate person and had never purchased chocolate for myself. Received a box of Gearharts as a gift, and oh gosh, best chocolate I've ever had. Now I'm buying them for myself.
Best chocolate and treats in town. I only wish they would add more variety with their desserts. But they are still great!
Spent a long weekend in Charlottesville and happened to be in the hotel next door to Gearharts. What a nice shop to have in town! You can watch them make chocolate through a glass wall, and the whole place smells divine. It was a week of Freezing temps, so went in for hot chocolate only to find it sold out? Confused how that happens in a chocolate shop, but we did get a very tasty coffee drink. Also got a snickerdoodle and a small brownie pack, and both were delectable. Frankly, the best snickerdoodle I’ve ever had. I also bought their pack of drinking chocolate, of which I’m excited to try in lieu of missing their hot chocolate! I would welcome visiting this shop anytime I’m back in town, delightful.

Maybe better than Swiss. Surprisingly delicious perhaps because so fresh.
We just received our first order and everything we have tasted so far has been fabulous!! We're in North Dakota but I sure hope someday we can come visit your store for a coffee and more treats! Saw you on Fox News and just had to try something and so glad we did! Now have perfect Christmas ideas to send friends!!
