Classic example of a thriving business being bought out then wrecked by the new owners. A daily stop for coffee has been replaced by something unrecognizable and sad.

No more yummy breakfast here! I am so sad that they did away with the kitchen. The grit bowls and breakfast burritos were fantastic. This has been one of my favorite places to eat downtown for over a decade. It was always busy so I can’t imagine why they got rid of the kitchen. Now it’s just another coffee shop one block down from a better coffee shop. Sad.

We were told they stopped serving breakfast a few months ago, so I guess now it's just a coffee shop.

So while coffee is good the staff here can be very inattentive. I ordered a sandwich to eat in and they made it to go and when I was waiting on it they never called it out or seemed to try to ignore customers when they have questions. The girl that is a manger is your main issue because her “I’m better than everyone” attitude rubs off on other.

She also rides very lazily. So, please allow the store to leave plenty of rest time for employees. Your business cannot survive. If there are still service staff like this.

A great coffee shop with a nice selection of breakfast options! The Ethiopian coffee I had was truly exceptional, and the burrito we shared was excellent, featuring perfectly cooked eggs, potatoes, and fresh salsa. The staff were both helpful and friendly, making it a wonderful start to the day!

We just moved to VA, but we’ve had the opportunity to order Americano at numerous other coffee shops. This was by far the worst Americano we have ever tasted. I took a sip and was unable to drink it. That’s how bad it was. Food was subpar, at best. Tasteless and just not good. When I mentioned that the Americano does not taste good, I’ve got an attitude from the girl who made it. We will never go to this place again.

Terrible customer service. The line is long and the staff seems overwhelmed. The employee didnt take my name for the order, they lost my order , and made my order after everyone behind me.

The best breakfast burrito I've ever had in Cville. Grit punches way above its weight in the food department, coffee's also very solid.

I had black tea. I probably should've gotten a coffee.
