I've been a regular at Grit for quite some time, and I truly enjoy visiting this spot. The staff here are exceptional every interaction I've had has been positive! The two gentlemen even remember my order, even if I haven’t been in for weeks. Today, I saw them manage a challenging customer situation with such grace and kindness. It was impressive to watch. Thank you for consistently taking such great care of us! I always look forward to my visit!

This was my first time at Grit, and it did not disappoint! The staff, especially the two men, were extremely friendly and gave great suggestions. I witnessed them having to deal with difficult customers, but they handled the confrontation with grace. I recommend Grit!

Stopped by Grit Coffee at Stonefield and ordered a cappuccino. Smooth, well made, and the space was cozy with plenty of seating. Great spot for a quick coffee break.

I wasn’t too keen on this place. The hibiscus tea I got was pretty mid and there was also no sugar added. I feel like it’d be great if they asked you what you preferred, sweet or unsweetened, when ordering. I also felt like the staff was a little cold. The inside is very cute- small, but cute.

They don't know how to make a proper espresso. It's runny and tastes like burnt pinto beans and lemon rinds. There's no crema, just a thin layer of light brown film at the top. Avoid.

My go-to coffee shop in Charlottesville. The coffee is always excellent and the staff is professional and friendly.

Gorgeous shop. They sell their own beans, with quite a few single origins. I wanted to try one that wasn't the rotating pour over on the menu, and they were very sweet and did it! It was phenomenal; I got the Brazil and all of the notes had a lot of clarity. Amazing staff, great service, and really well-roasted coffee. They also sell V60 supplies, and do their pour overs with ceramic V60 brewers. 100/10 for me.
