Very cute old green house. We tried the ice mocha with blackberry and chai latte. Both were really good!! The second floor has a lot of seatings but the AC was not very cool

I love Grit Coffee they always have a fun drink. right now it’s the Blackberry Mocha. I also had the blackberry in a latte because I liked it so much and I would definitely get the morning roll again.

I ordered a blackberry mocha and really enjoyed the balance of the flavors. The inside sitting area is spacious and open, but there is also outdoor seating offered too!
Their Breve Tastes amazing! Scones were great, too.
I order at this Grit location quite often, as it is my favorite in Charlottesville! My drinks are always perfect. Service is quick and friendly. There is a decent amount of indoor seating as well. Note that there is no free parking, which is fine for students but probably an issue for Cville residents.
I've been to this local coffee shop twice and have enjoyed. It's a busy UVA student haunt off The Corner.
The small gabled building that sits on a dead end road by train tracks is cute. There is no street parking. However garage parking is across the street.
Staff was friendly as I walked in. I ordered an ice coffee variety that was pretty good. They offer bites, but did not notice what was available.
I would return.
Parking: Parking garage across the street.
Kid-friendliness: No high chairs

As a UVA student... my favorite coffee shop. Reasonably priced, cute ambience, and the coffee's great. The seasonal and flavored drinks are great, but even the standard café drinks are a hit every time. Baristas are polite, warm, and knowledgeable!

I got a bag of the whole bean la pastora coffee and it had a rock in it. The rock could have broken my expensive burr grinder. Unacceptable. I will never buy coffee here againUpdate 10/14/23: Grit replied to my review and they sent me a replacement bag of la pastora as well as a bag of Dominican Ramirez estate coffee and some stickers. I appreciate the customer service and their attempt to make things right. My original review was 1 star but I am bumping it up to 4 stars because of how they remedied the situation but I do hope they improve quality control to prevent rocks from getting in the beans
A cute college-centric caffee with pleasant atmosphere and strong wifi. 3 outside tables but next to a railroad, be ready for some train noise from time to time. The matcha latte barely had any matcha, I have never seen such light green color (seems it is a general problem with matcha in Charlottesville). The croissants were very chewy.
