Grit Coffee, UVa Corner

Today one day post the snowstorm grit is open when everything else is shut down (apart from Virginian). Needless to say its swamped with people, playing viby music and putting coffee smiles on people's faces.

On other days, find the notebook of messages on the first floor. If nothing else that will be your company for coffee. Especially recommend reading it by the table that gets direct sunlight in the afternoon. Or the window where you can see the train pass for what feels like an eternity.

Grit Coffee Roasting Co. is always a great stop when I’m in Charlottesville. Their High Five is my go-to—perfectly balanced, smooth, and just the right boost. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and the vibe is relaxed whether you’re grabbing a drink to go or staying for a bit.

If you’re making a quick stop, take advantage of the upfront parking—it makes popping in super easy. Highly recommend!

I love it out there. Can be busy depending on the time of the year. I often go there to work over the weekends.

Very cute old green house. We tried the ice mocha with blackberry and chai latte. Both were really good!! The second floor has a lot of seatings but the AC was not very cool

I love Grit Coffee they always have a fun drink. right now it’s the Blackberry Mocha. I also had the blackberry in a latte because I liked it so much and I would definitely get the morning roll again.

I ordered a blackberry mocha and really enjoyed the balance of the flavors. The inside sitting area is spacious and open, but there is also outdoor seating offered too!

Their Breve Tastes amazing! Scones were great, too.

I order at this Grit location quite often, as it is my favorite in Charlottesville! My drinks are always perfect. Service is quick and friendly. There is a decent amount of indoor seating as well. Note that there is no free parking, which is fine for students but probably an issue for Cville residents.

I've been to this local coffee shop twice and have enjoyed. It's a busy UVA student haunt off The Corner.

The small gabled building that sits on a dead end road by train tracks is cute. There is no street parking. However garage parking is across the street.

Staff was friendly as I walked in. I ordered an ice coffee variety that was pretty good. They offer bites, but did not notice what was available.

I would return.

As a UVA student... my favorite coffee shop. Reasonably priced, cute ambience, and the coffee's great. The seasonal and flavored drinks are great, but even the standard café drinks are a hit every time. Baristas are polite, warm, and knowledgeable!
