I have never had a bad or less than near perfect meal here. The drinks are amazing even special order and not just the f the menu. The servers remember your favorite meals and the way you like you drinks. This is an amazing place to eat.

I love Hamiltons! They've been one of my go-to restaurants in rotation for over a year. I have some dietary restrictions which helps when the people who serve you can name the allergens from each dish and take it seriously.

Definitely a sit-down place with an upscale but non-pretentious atmosphere. I'm a regular but I also love coming for special occasions because the vibe here facilitates a cozy meal with family or friends.

Staff are so so wonderful, including some of the best bartenders I've come to know. I cannot over-emphasize how special of an experience I get here every time I go. It's not cheap but great food almost never is and it's definitely worth it. (Prices are on-par for fine dining in Cville). They also have a private dining room for large parties!

Favorite dishes are the crab cakes with a remoulade, mixed greens salad, and their seasonal fish. Favorite drinks are the Albemarle Fizz, Margarita, and any wine Chelsea recommends. :)

Lovely atmosphere, great service but honestly based on the price of food it wasn't up to par. There was nothing special about it at all and the servings were incredibly small and forgettable. The crab cakes dinner and calamari salad was delicious but the other orders were again just adequate. At these prices the consumer deserves better than just adequate.

The restaurant is very nice and staff is super friendly. Their window tables are the best! Most of the food was great! My friend had a salad and wasn't a fan but the eggs Benedict were very good. To make a reservation online, you have to put a card on file, so that's my only real complaint about it. The restaurant wasn't even busy when we went it but for just one other party. But it's a great spot downtown!

Wow! What a pleasurable dining experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and oh so good! We tried the homemade Lobster & Crab Tortellini in an Alfredo sauce and the homemade, locally grown apple pie! Yum! And the bread and butter…I usually avoid it to save room for the entree, but it is NOT to be missed! Our server was Logan and he provided a wonderful dining experience! If you are looking for an enjoyable meal in a lovely setting, then come here!!! We will definitely dine here again!

We went to Hamiltons' to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday with our children and her mom. The service was terrible. The server obviously had too many tables to cover. He never introduced himself or said anything to us other than 'can I get your drink order?' I'm guess on a slow night it would have been better but he was absolutely overwhelmed. His interaction with us was apparently we were bothering him, and I felt terrible that this was how we were spending an important birthday for my wife. The soup was great, the shrimp and grits was barely room temperature, it obviously sat on a shelf while the server was taking care of half the restaurant. There was no point in telling him or sending it back, because he never checked on us or the food or anything. I reminded him at the end that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and I guess he followed through with that, as we had a desert with a candle. I'm so upset that we chose this place, I would not recommend it under any circumstances. This is the only negative Open Table review I have written in years. I can't tell you how disappointing this evening was.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! This is located in the downtown mall area, so it's the perfect spot for brunch and then exploring the different shops. My sisters and I tried different items on the menu and shared them. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles— SO GOOD! The frittata was equally amazing. Overall, we tried a variety if items and they were all very good. We left no crumbs! Our server, Paul, was so wonderful and attentive, thank you! I would recommend outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Will definitely come here again!

Hamilton's us our “go to” restaurant on the downtown mall. We had an excellent meal as always. The seafood pasta special and the halibut entree were excellent. We particularly liked the special white wine blend offered that evening.

Lovely cocktails, great fried oysters and wonderful entrees - pasta, halibut, trout and chicken were delicious. Wanted to order dessert but it was so loud we couldn't hear our waiter or our own companions conversation. Decided to head out! One large table next to us?

I have been going here for many years. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always excellent. We went for a birthday brunch and ate in the very lovely outdoor area under trees.

Great service! Excellent server who was informative and fun. The food - vegetarian spring rolls then beef tenderloin with asparagus & mashed potatoes - was outstanding, as always. This is one dish they always hit out of the park. Great wine list, as well, with quite reasonable prices and a friendly pour.
