First time staying at this location and based on prior IHG stays, this is the best one! Staff very courteous and pain free stay! Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful location the rooms was very clean only thg no coffee after 5pm no breakfast
This was a great place to stay. Its clean, rooms are big, restaurant and bar, outdoor pool, lo action was great for going to games at UVA. Staff was friendly and polite. Only thing is it is noisy but the interstate. It didnt bother me. The shower door slam and you hear them all morning. And I could hear other people in hall or other rooms mostly people coming in or leaving but it wasn't all day and night. I will definitely stay here again.
It was nice even though I b was staying for work
Very noisy, right next the highway. Easy access though. Rooms comfortable, ac could use some updating. Nice bathroom.
Perfect for quick over nite road trip refresh!Great location near hwy, food and shopping! Helpful friendly staff.
The Hotel Was Nice! But When I Went To Go Eat At The Bar. The Bar Tender George Took 30 Minutes To Take My Drink And Took So Long To Take My Food Order I Didnt Even Bother. I Just Ate At The Pizza Place Across The Street.
This was a very last minute late time arrival. I had no reservation. The front desk agent, Roan, was so great. He was extremely helpful and I very much appreciated his kindness. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were comfortable. The only reason it doesn’t get five stars for comfort is because the road noise is very loud.
Room smells like cigarettes.
We were given a room that was not the type that we booked on our reservation. When we inquired at the front desk we were met with bad customer service. The young guy at the front desk was rather rude and confrontational. We just wanted our room reservation honored and he was acting like he upgraded us by giving us two beds but we’re a couple visiting on Valentine’s Day weekend, we don’t want two beds. & then our refrigerator didn’t work.

Avoid this hotel. We checked in and immediately walked into a room that smelled like urine. The hotel’s solution was to give us an aerosol spray that was industrial use only.
They “had no other rooms” available that night and we tried to ignore the smell. After one of us closed the bathroom door to shower we saw a literal poop on the floor.
Only after that did they offer us a room that was blocked off for a business account.
We declined and asked for our money back and had to contact management ourselves.
In my opinion, a refund should’ve been automatic and we didn’t get compensated otherwise.
Unless you like being in a room that smells like urine and has a piece of poop in it, avoid this hotel at all costs.
Well first of all I had to stay for my work, the rooms are nice. The location is ideal, the reason why I am reviewing it is because of the condition of the parking lot, snow was everywhere which is understandable, the issue with that is that the parking lot wasn’t plowed in such a manner to get my car out, friends from my job was here as well an we had to dig our path clear……later on the same evening I was able to get my car out an decided to move to a more convenient space, when I did I was struck all over again, other hotel guests helped me out an I was grateful for that, when the plow came through the first time it just more snow in front of the vehicles and I know when I leave in the morning it’s going to be a mess , hotel workers was no big help. It would be great if the hotel had something else in place like ice melt or something, after all hotel rooms are not cheap and to have to dig your way out the parking lot is totally ridiculous to me! I just hope no one will hit my car while trying to get out the darn parking space. Please do better Holiday Inn
ABSOLUTE BEST for any UVA visits.
The location is great and the hotel and even the rooms are nice, BUT if you have any difficulty sleeping there's a couple things that really work against your comfort: First, REALLY bright lights in the bathroom and bedside. Goodbye any sleepies, you have just been blinded by the light. Second, the toilets flush with incredible force, just set a firecracker off in my ear why don't you! And to a much lesser degree: The bathroom doors are on rollers, so they make a loud rumble any time they open and close.
The rooms were neat and tidy and comfortable, but the water pressure in the shower was really not good, so thumbs down on that too. Helpful staff, although I don't know where they were the first ten minutes of our stay, the lobby was a ghost town and it was a little awkward wondering if everyone else was locked in a vault somewhere.
Somewhat expensive, but typical for the area. Breakfast not included in price of room- but plenty of cafes nearby.
Pets (dogs) welcome for extra $20. A dog walking area with poop bags and container for used bags is by the parking lot.
