Holiday, as always, did not disappoint. Clean and comfortable hotel. Comfortable beds, quiet place. The staff is polite and friendly. Great breakfast. I really liked it. I recommend.Rooms: Large rooms. Comfortable shower with hose. Comfortable beds. There is a coffee maker and hair dryer.Food & drinks: Breakfast is excellent. True, we paid a small amount for it, but it was worth it.

This might be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Our hotel room smelled like cigarette smoke and throughout the weekend we were there we saw 10+ bugs of various kinds in our room and crawling on our luggage when we were preparing to check out. We also did not have any body soap in the dispenser and when we asked the front desk to refill it they said we’d have to wait for housekeeping to service our room that afternoon, forcing us to wash with shampoo instead of actual soap. The elevator broke down while we were staying there. We were in town for a wedding and were supposed to have a shuttle pick a large group of us up from the hotel but management refused to let the bus in the parking lot and, when we were all in the lobby wondering out loud where our bus was, the front desk staff did not tell us that it was parked down the street making 20+ people late for the wedding. DO NOT STAY here, I encourage you to spend a few extra dollars to stay at a different hotel and brides/grooms do not block rooms here for your guests.

Awful experience. There was a loud obnoxious noise in the room from the heating system. We were next to the iceMaker and boiler room. Awful! Room 220 to be exact.Rooms: Awful! Do not recommend at all.

Your mileage may vary, but a sad and humiliating "stay" for me. Purchased a room with an accessibility feature, the room didn't have it. Went to the front desk, they couldn't accommodate. I gave the room keys back, but they are refusing a refund because I entered the room (I booked through Priceline, so I don't know if Priceline or the hotel are being the bad guys ?). The hotel is fairly upscale, the front desk was quick and receptive, but my experience was terrible.

The rooms were nice and clean, bathrooms nice and updated. I saw a roach in the shower couple of times but they were small. Also wish they had 100% non smoking rooms because I could smell smoke in the elevators and hallways but I don’t think I had much control over that.

My room didn’t have any hot water during my stay. Front desk said to run the sink with the shower for awhile to see if it got hot which it barely got warm after 20 minutes. Maintenance guy came up to try and help he was super friendly but only could do the same thing I did which was run the sink with the shower and hope it got warmer… hotel was nice and room was clean but being that I was here for out of town work, all I wanted to do was take a hot shower at the end of the day and I couldn’t. Unless you like luke warm water in your showers I suggest not staying here

My room was clean. Front desk staff nice and informative. Location 10 minutes from UVA hospital and 10-15 mins from sentara hospital. Hotel located near several places to shop and eat.

We have been happy every time we stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean, the prices are fair, and it's directly off of 64 for easy access to get to Crozet/Nelson 151 area or to head to Richmond if needed. It's a quick 5 min drive down the road to get to the main stretch of Charlottesville, so you are not completely out of the city. The location is dog friendly, and has a dog waste bin and free bags in the parking lot. The bar stays open until 10 or so, and any drinks you purchase you can bring back to your rooms.Rooms: The rooms have always been clean and haven't had a noise issue in the 4 visits we have had over a 3 year period.Safety: The hotel is tucked away off the main road and because of that gets less traffic. There isn't a great sidewalk option to get from downtown to where they are located so because of that there is also less foot traffic.

Don’t take this the wrong way , but for a Holiday Inn the bar and restaurant was fantastic, The bartender was amazing, “Christine” she was fun and made great cocktails, We ordered the steak and it was great. We will definitely be back.

No stay is ever perfect, but you can always find a staff member ready to help. From housekeeping, maintenance and the desk, everyone’s response was prompt and efficient.Food & drinks: The omelette on the breakfast menu is delicious and beautifully presented.

No complaints. Room was clean, didn't smell funny, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, the door worked, and no one was running in the halls screaming and pounding on doors in her he middle of the night. All things I've had bad experiences with in hotels over the years!Staff was very friendly. Only gripe is not with the location, but with the chain and they're app. I'm a member, but frankly prefer another chain and don't stay at holiday inn much. But made reservation 2 months in advance, received confirmation email and reservation showed in app for next two months as I checked it a few times to confirm the address, etc. a few days before arrival I got another welcome email. The day of arrival I noticed the reservation no longer showed in the app. I called hotel and they were super helpful but explained it was canceled because I didn't have a valid credit card on file. (?!?!). I double checked and certainly did. Read off exactly what was in their app and problem solved. I never had such a problem with my favorite chain.

I enjoyed my stay here, however there are a few things to point out:I stayed on a Friday night, meaning that it was going to be a loud atmosphere. However, many of the people around were extremely drunk, talking loudly in the lobby and making for an awkward atmosphere. There was only one elevator, leading a lot of people walking on and off the elevator and many were waiting. The elevator was also very packed with people. The entire atmosphere of the rooms and hallways seemed a little dated, but acceptable. The rooms were not terrible and were taken care of.There is no free breakfast included in the stay, and the paid breakfast is $20 a person, seeming very overpriced. However, I was impressed with a few things here:The pool is outdoor, but very large and the deep end goes down to 9 feet! The shower was very impressive for a hotel, with great water pressure and heat. It was also a large walk-in shower. The beds were very comfortable.I would recommend staying here for a great hotel experience, with only a few nitpicky drawbacks. Most of the cons were not the fault of the hotel.Rooms: High shower pressure with comfortable beds. Carpets and walls seemed a little dated with a stain or two.Safety: Safe location with great room locks.Food & drinks: Breakfast is not free and paid breakfast is expensive.
