On 7/8, I joined 10 older women friends for 2 pm lunch at this IHOP. Staffing was VERY light, but Lorenzo was magnificent: as waiter, cook, cashier, all tasks peformed with professional skill, tact, positive attitude, all with separate checks! Congratulations for hiring such an extraordnary, valuable employee & best wishes on staffing. Thank him from a group of cranky old women.
Do NOT go to Charlottesville VA IHOP. One of the worst restaurants in Charlottesville by far. They should close the restaurant down immediately. The staff is horrible. My husband ordered online, simple breakfast combo. It took an hour and a half to get our order and then it was missing both eggs and hash browns!!!! After my husband complained that it took an hour an a half, he heard the kitchen staff curse and say he could wait another hour and a half. They would not give a refund...read full review
The service was absolutely horrible, there was over an hour wait and the waitress did not even alert us about this, we had no napkins no questions if we wanted a refill. We did not want to pay the waitress and her coworker threatened to fight us. We have children in the car with us and everything her name is Kimbria. This is a Charlottesville Virginia.

IHOP offers a welcoming atmosphere with good food. Despite some cold hashbrowns, the service was generally decent. On a Saturday morning, long wait times due to staff shortages might be a downside, but the Charlottesville IHOP on 29 N/S provides superb food and attentive service, which helps improve the overall dining experience. Recent visits included moments of prompt service and hot food, especially when a new server did a great job despite being on her first day. However, there have been instances where food came cold, and wait times were longer than expected, with some staff staying in the back when the restaurant was not busy. Overall, the restaurant has seen improvements, especially with attentive staff who went out of their way to make children happy, like bringing extra toppings for a smiley face pancake.
