My husband and I went here for the first time today and loved everything about the experience! The food is delicious and fairly priced, the atmosphere is chill, and the staff members are inviting. Amanda, the manager, is knowledgeable about the menu and an absolute delight. I highly recommend you patronize this establishment!

Charlottesville has been a celiac delight and Iron Paffles & Coffee is a large part of the reason! There is a dedicated fryer, a dedicated waffle iron, and almost everything on the menu can be made celiac safe/gluten free. I had a breakfast sandwich with hash browns, bacon & siracha aioli - amazing. We also ordered a canoli waffle and it was just as good. My husband ordered the non-GF Paffle and wont stop talking about how good it was. I can’t wait to come back here!

Anytime I am in Charlottesville I think of this place and had the pleasure of visiting on multiple occasions. It smells great as soon as you walk in the door and they have plenty of savory or sweet options. Great place for breakfast or lunch. I got to enjoy the Nashville hot paffle this last time. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly the Paffles are so flaky and delicious and it brought the heat. I highly recommend

This place was so good we came back the next day because we couldn’t stop thinking about it. I have celiac and the celiac waffle was incredible. My husband loved the paffles! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely going to be a tradition on our next trips to Charlottesville!

Iron Paffles in Charlottesville was better than I expected—and that’s saying something. The pastry waffle with fried chicken? 10 out of 10.

The paffle = (pastry waffle or as I like to call it a croissant waffle) itself is a game-changer—flaky, buttery, and crisp, like a puff pastry met a waffle and decided to be the best version of both. Hise why I call it croissant waffle. Pair that with perfectly fried chicken, and you’ve got a combination that’s rich, savory, and just the right amount of indulgent.
You can also get sweet or savory, just depend on how you feel.

The menu offers plenty of creative options, from sweet to savory, and the coffee is solid too. The spot has a cozy, laid-back vibe, making it a great place to grab breakfast or brunch.

If you’re in Charlottesville try Iron Paffles. It's worth it, even if you have to share with someone. ALSO, MY RECOMMENDATION.

Got up at 5am and drove 486 miles to get here before they closed. Worth it! Both the regular and gluten free paffles are delicious. Will be back next time we are in Charlottesville! Thank you Iron Paffles!

Awesome place to get a delicious waffle, fried chicken sandwich, I am a celiac, and it is so hard to find a place with food like this. I topped it with Cheddar, egg, a hashbrown, maple syrup, cheese grits, and chicken sausage. The greatest thing is it was all gluten-free, and they have a separate area in the kitchen to prepare gluten-free. The taste was phenomenal. My only complaint is that there isn't more of them around. Bring one to Frederick County VA, please. Thank you for the delicious food.

Visiting C-Ville and tried this place for breakfast. Puff pastry waffles?! Its AMAZING!!! Light and flaky! This was a million times better than the free hotel breakfast up the road. I got the breakfast paffle with baked Egg, Avocado, Tomato, Spring Mix, and Aioli plus I added chicken sausage for the extra protein 💪🏼. I also stole a bite of my wife’s fried paffle which had fried chicken and honey. Both were insanely good! My only complaint is this place isn’t in my home town. See you again Iron Paffle the next time we are in the area.

GF waffle was meh. I have celiac so I am judging in comparison to GF foods purely. The cheese had a crust on it like it was American cheese that had been overcooked and the peppers were cooked somehow such that the skin was still super tough but the meat was mush. The service was also quite slow. The savory choice didn't work out. I do not appear to have been glutened however, so a star is earned back for that.
