Iron Paffles & Coffee

Fun little hole in the wall restaurant. Had a vegan breakfast sandwich with scrambled tofu and tempeh bacon; was delicious! (I’m not vegan… just sounded like a good sandwich.) A bit messy to eat by hand so I forked it.

The fried chicken with mac paffle is absolutely delish🔥This was my first time trying Iron Paffles and let’s just say I’m so damn glad I did. I’m not even exaggerating, it’s that good! Definitely coming back here someday.

First visit, absolutely delicious. Nashville Chicken Paffle, a tofu option as well. The team down here is crushing it, and I don't even like waffles but it was oh soooop good, a nice fluffy and slightly crisp waffle. If you never been, it's an absolute must try. You won't be disappointed.

My mom likes this place because it is gluten free but the girl working the counter today was very unhelpful. I shouldn't have to get into medical discussions as to why I would need/want a smaller portion. But I have never in the last 1.5 years when I've been having to order off children's menus so I dont waste food had some tell me I cannot because I am clearly over the age limit. Her only solution was they could put less toppings on a regular full price sandwich. And then when I asked if I could add a topping on the side of my mom's she said she wasn't sure how to ring it up or how much to charge. Idk if this is a learning curve issue or just a general lack of customer service experience but needless to say I am personally not choosing this no matter how good the food or tea is.

Paffles is awful. I visited around 7:10 in the morning and wasn’t quite sure if they were open at first since the front lights were off and no one greeted us when we walked in. We placed our order at the self-service kiosk, and I eventually asked for the front lights to be turned on. The seating is mostly metal stools, which weren’t very comfortable for our family. The food itself was okay, but the overall atmosphere felt a little unwelcoming.

This place has potential — a brighter, more inviting setup and a friendly greeting at the door would really improve the experience.

This was my first time here and the food itself was good but the service left something to be desired. We were not greeted as we entered the restaurant and not even acknowledged until the food was ready. They have a self ordering kiosk right where they were standing, with a little note that says “tips make it better”. I have no problem tipping for good customer service but expecting a tip when your customer service is worse than any food restaurant I’ve been to is kind of wild.

My husband and I went here for the first time today and loved everything about the experience! The food is delicious and fairly priced, the atmosphere is chill, and the staff members are inviting. Amanda, the manager, is knowledgeable about the menu and an absolute delight. I highly recommend you patronize this establishment!

Charlottesville has been a celiac delight and Iron Paffles & Coffee is a large part of the reason! There is a dedicated fryer, a dedicated waffle iron, and almost everything on the menu can be made celiac safe/gluten free. I had a breakfast sandwich with hash browns, bacon & siracha aioli - amazing. We also ordered a canoli waffle and it was just as good. My husband ordered the non-GF Paffle and wont stop talking about how good it was. I can’t wait to come back here!

Anytime I am in Charlottesville I think of this place and had the pleasure of visiting on multiple occasions. It smells great as soon as you walk in the door and they have plenty of savory or sweet options. Great place for breakfast or lunch. I got to enjoy the Nashville hot paffle this last time. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly the Paffles are so flaky and delicious and it brought the heat. I highly recommend
