Wish I could give negative stars. Without a doubt DO NOT RECOMMEND. They were hired to cater my nieces wedding and decided to show up at 6:45 for a wedding that started at 4 pm. At first they wouldn’t answer the phone. Then when they did answer, then kept making excuses and saying 30 more mins, then 40 more minutes and so on. When we realized they weren’t going to make it either at all or in a reasonable amount of time, we ordered pizzas from two local establishments. Both orders of pizza arrived, were served, and eaten by the time the food from the caterer arrived. They left all the food with no serving utensils, no plates, no plastic ware, no drinks — all of which they were supposed to supply. One of the worst parts was not having enough drinks for the guests. 90 degrees outside and only the water the bridal party provided for the ceremony. So here we are, trying to get through pictures to get everyone out of the heat, while calling the caterer, sending people out for drinks and getting pizza on the way. Thank God for friends and family!

I used this company to cater my sons wedding on Sat. August 16, 2025. Not only was she late, I didn't get the food that I ordered, did not get the bar tender, or the cup cake tree that I paid for up front months ago. I set this up in January of 2025. I could go on and on about the how bad the whole situation was. The service that she was supposed to had provided was un- exceptable in so many ways. The wedding was at 4 which she should have been there atleast by 2 to get things set up and ready to go by the time the ceremony was done. I am in the process of taking her to court for a full refund if she does not refund me my money soon. Never put your trust in someone you think would be good people. I do not recommend her services to anyone, if you do make sure you get your money's worth. She had good ratings on line, but she definitely did not proved the star ratings that she has.

I definitely do not recommend their catering service. They did not show up on time the night before the wedding, or on the wedding day. They were so late on the wedding day that we had to rearrange the entire reception to try to wait until the food arrived (they kept telling us 30 more minutes, 40 more minutes, when they would actually answer their phone). When we had finally waited long enough, we called 2 different pizza places, who both halted calls for the public in order to get 20 pizzas ready at each restaurant to ensure our guests had something to eat. We had the pizzas at the venue before the caterers even showed up. When they did arrive, the food was not what was ordered, and they didn't leave any plastic ware or drinks. The food was stacked one on top of the other, cold mixed with hot, not temperature controlled in the back of their car. They texted my daughter (the bride) the morning of the wedding and said the gold plates did not come in and they sent the wrong plasticware. They asked if white styrofoam plates were okay. My daughter asked that they get the clear plastic plates instead. They texted later and said Costco was out of the clear plastic plates and they would be bringing the white styrofoam. A family member offered to go to Walmart and get 200 clear plastic plates, so my daughter told them we would not be using the white styrofoam plates. But the worst part was not having anything for our guests to drink. It was an extremely hot day, and all we had were the waters we had provided for the ceremony and a few cases of soda. We are blessed to have wonderful family and friends who all chipped in and ran to the pizza places and stores to get ice and drinks. We were left to dispose of the food that was delivered. We didn't feel comfortable eating the food, since we weren't sure how long it had been in the car and even if we did, we didn't have anything to eat it with. This is not how we envisioned the day we had planned 8 months for.

I was the Bride for the wedding they were supposed to cater for yesterday… didn’t really think I would be worrying about not having food or drink for my guests. Showing up at 6:30 (our ceremony was at 4) with the incorrect menu, no silverware, no drinks and no desserts.

Thank god for my family who were willing to step up and make sure we had some sort of food and drink for the reception.

Very very disappointed.

Sitting at a wedding and this “catering company” was supposed to be here at 3 and they still haven’t showed up! Like how?! It’s 7pm and they said they were on the way 3 hours ago, 150 people here waiting to eat and no food. They dropped off their things yesterday at the venue and then today said they were out getting styrofoam plates bc their plates didn’t come in, but I guess they aren’t showing up at all. Unreliable, do not book!!! A wedding! How do you drop the ball on a wedding?!

Please make sure to be courteous of your neighbors :) loud music until 2am is not for everyone.

This place is just amazing and the owner is spectacular. I highly recommend using her event space for all of your special occasion needs

The food was INCREDIBLE! The baked chicken is to die for! Great venue with awesome staff! Highly recommend!

They catered an event for my grandmother bday. Everyone loved the food! Book them if you want quality service and food that makes you feel like a loved one cooked it. Definitely will use them again.

I am from out of town and needed catering for a repast in Charlottesville. We loved JBD’s catering - delicious food, very friendly service and plenty of food. Everybody wanted to know the name of our caterer for the future!

The fried chicken, potato salad and collard greens are sure to please?! I highly recommend this family owned business, with great customer service!
