Great beer as there are a lot of options. One I wanted was out, but I found a couple others. Long line for the beer wasn't too much fun and I thought the prices were is bit high too. Food and beer was great though. Loved the atmosphere!

Venue was very top notch. Nice outside space. Good off street parking. Staff was on point. Excellent beer selection. The only negative thing was no table service...had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. Instead of belly up to the bar for a drink you had to line up at beginning of the bar like going to the supermarket...never seen this before.Maybe there's a reason for that as it dosen't seem to help. It made me not want to go get a drink...probably not so good for business.

Wife and I came from out of town to enjoy some local food and beer. Got a Bavarian Pretzel and some beer to start. Blown away by the tasty sausage sampler, stayed for more schnitzel and beers. Worth the visit and highly recommend.

I really did not like my food (fancy burger on a gluten free bun plus fries), and that plus a kid's milk plus tax and tip cost me almost 30 bucks. The bun basically melted where the grease got it 'wet,' but the dry parts crumbled and dribbled crumbs with every bite. The toppings (onions and mushrooms) did not meaningfully add to the flavor and the fries were like cardboard and just not tasty. It's hard to make me dislike a fry. I did have a very tasty sorbet at the end and the roasted brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked and utterly delicious.
I can see where the atmosphere could appeal to some (big wooden benches and tables, tvs in one corner, board games available, big open plan seating), but hall gets very loud. By the end of our meal all conversations were happening at a shout and I still could not hear my friends.
Between the pricing, the not great entre, and the hearing-unfriendly atmosphere I would not care to go back.

If it could be a zero it would. Appalling service. Came in with an infant and toddler and all we were told is what we can’t do, and where we can’t sit. No hospitality whatsoever. Workers looking at their phones and seemed annoyed when we asked questions.

Original Post 11/3/24)- My families first trip to Charlottesville, so I wasn’t familiar with their ordering process. It was a busy night, so people were being pushed along in the ordering process. I closed my tab using Apple Pay and then I’m directed to the drink area. Maybe 10-15 seconds pass, I wonder if I’m supposed to sign for it, and I see the bartender/manager close out the transaction. I immediately pull up my online statement to verify what I had been charged, and the bartender/manager had authorized a 20% tip without my consent. She should have asked me to sign the bill if I had forgotten, and not authorized her own charges. I immediately confronted her about the situation. She proceeded to deflect, lie and gaslight me in the process. I would 100% not recommend eating at this place.

Tried the bitterballen and one of the schnitzels (forget which one), both were excellent. They also have a nice beer selection tap, can find whatever your feeling. Staff were friendly and despite the crowd, very expedient .

Excellent Hefeweizen and beer selection for fans of all types of beer. Food selection was also very top tier for a brewery- best brewery food I’ve had in a while. The pretzel was very good and soft. I ordered the onion soup which had some very unique ingredients and taste but it hit the spot if you’re looking for something light. My wife ordered the nachos and it’s enough to honestly feed three people. The atmosphere was great and wasn’t too loud and they kept the place relatively clean. Would recommend for a quick bite and some beers.
