We had green tea and were pleasantly surprised it had roasted brown rice which gives the tea an amazing flavor. We kept getting more hot water added to our pot. I ended up filling up with the tea :-). I also had shrimp udon soup. It was a good sized portion with broccoli, bok choy, carrots and celery. The soup hit the spot and my shrimp were fresh and not overcooked.

Came in for a quick lunch and loved the atmosphere. I had to ask for chopsticks but I think because it was slightly busy and the lady who took our order needed to tend to the other tables. When the food arrived, we enjoyed each plate as the food was so delicious.

I’m conflicted, truth is I think I found a real gem here. I was not expecting the quality of food that I received. I offer this not to encourage the masses to come in and ruin this place, but to offer to the owner and his wife who worked so hard to prepare it this sincere appreciation that it deserves.

I came in the lady took so long to notice me. Then she said a couple of minutes goes back cooks the food in less than 7 minutes where I called atleast 15 minutes in advance. If Im going to pay for 14.99 16.5 with tax for a salad no protein all veggies and some chicken. Might as well go down to hibachi. I also tried thier fries cutlet years ago I barley gotten any meat and they haven’t changed a bit. at-least for takeout experience.

I was slightly intimidated by the menu of Koji specials but wanted to try something new and ordered the duck and it was delicious. Highly recommend! I went with our Japanese exchange student and she thoroughly enjoyed the Yokohama Ramen.

First time dining there last night. I went because it had good ratings but didn't look at menu. This is not a typical Japanese restaurant as the menu is quite limited. It is very quiet with excellent service but the food was ok.

My first time coming here. The chicken in the fried rice was very hard and overcooked. Definitely not a good first impression. No need to respond I will not be coming back again.

Don’t let its humble exterior fool you- Kyoto restaurant has amazing food and excellent service. Each vegetable is cooked to perfection and selected to create a unique and inspiring fresh take on classic Japanese cuisine. The waitstaff made us feel like a guest in their home and the seafood was fresh. Take your family out to dinner at Kyoto tonight, you deserve it.
