Best pizza in the ville!

So good! The best pizza in Charlottesville, in my opinion!

It was fine. If you're looking for vegetarian pizza, I'd recommend you go somewhere else because Lampo's veggie options are boring.

Simple the best pizza in town.

Thoroughly enjoyed my pizza! The mozzarella is homemade and was very tasty. The size was perfect for one person too. It was a little on the pricey side, but I am glad I got to try it nonetheless. We would definitely go back!

Cleanest kitchen I have ever seen. Delicious food. I highly recommend the meatballs.

The woman at the front of the restaurant was extremely rude.

Very efficient takeout window. You can either order ahead or at the window. Food is ready in 10 minutes. We had the margherita pizza, porchetta sandwich, cheesy bread, and Brussels sprouts salad. Everything was delicious! The sandwich reminded us of the ones we ate when we were in Italy.

We got a carry out from Lampo's XPark location, and we sorely disappointed in the pizzas (Marguerita and the one with prosciutto and arugula) compared to these same pizzas before Lampo was sold. They were dry, leathery and the prosciutto wasn't prosciutto. Their eat-in location may have better pizzas and other food because they still have a lot of customers. Their Bar with outdoor music is popular and the music so far this season has been great!

I recently tried Lampo2Go, a takeout-only pizza place. My experience was a mix of good and bad. I'm passionate about good food and more so a believer in the seemingly dying commitment to good service, so I wanted to share my thoughts on this experience. I'll be polite and honest to help both the restaurant and future customers.Food Quality: The best thing I tried was the panouzzi polpettini. It looked great and tasted good, but it wasn't hot. This made a big difference because the cheese didn't melt, and the flavors weren't as strong as they could have been. It was disappointing because it could have been much better.Service: The staff were friendly, but they forgot to give me napkins. This might seem small, but it shows that they weren't paying attention to details. I didn't say anything because I thought they should know to give napkins without being told.Price: The sandwich cost over $18, which is a lot. I expected something great, but it wasn't worth the cost. The idea of Lampo2Go is interesting, but the food and service need to be better for the price.Overall, Lampo2Go has potential, but it needs to improve. The idea of a takeout-only place is cool, but they need to make sure the food is hot, and they give customers what they need. I might go back, but only if they improve.

We love Lampo but have been burned by Lampo2Go two times in a row now. The pizzas were very under sauced and were like eating soft and cold bread, not hot and crisp pizza like at the restaurant. We picked it up about 10 minutes before our estimated time too, hoping to catch them fresh out of the oven, but they were already in a waiting oven to keep warm. We expect more, especially considering they’ve bumped the prices about 40% in the past few years.
