I spent $45 on a carry out order that I was forced to place online. I tried to call it in but was told that they couldn’t take an order over the phone because they couldn’t input it so I had to do it online. I placed an order for two steak and cheese subs online and had very specific requests about what I did, and did not want on both of them as well as a side order of potato salad. When we picked the order up everything on them was wrong and we’re not edible because each one had things on it that we didn’t want. Additionally, the potato salad, while good was not worth the five dollars for 5 ounces that I paid for it. I called to complain and spoke with a very nice person. He said he would leave a message for the owner to address my concerns. It is now three days later and I have not heard a word from them. I spent a lot of money on a meal that was completely not edible, and have been completely ignored after I made them aware of the issue.

Everything was good except the exorbitant price 2 drinks, chips and 8inch subs were $38.00 .These were not extra meat or cheese or anything.

While visiting my son in Charlottesville, I was in need of a quick lunch. I walked into Littlejohns Deli and should have walked out as there were only two people in the shop and it was prime lunch time on the Corner at the UVA campus. I stayed and had a question and was met by a rude and disinterested employee, again, I should have walked out, but I wanted to like this place as it was not a chain. I got my sub and it was terrible, possibly one of the worse steak and cheese subs I've ever had. I will stick to my instincts in the future. AVOID this place and, if you are like me and try to avoid chains when possible, go to a chain while in the vicinity of this little nasty place.

Pretty good sandwich, on the smaller side. You could literally get three Bodo bagel sandwiches for the same price -- $14 + tax for an 8in sub.

I am so excited that Little John's has reopened! Back in the late 90's the Wild Turkey was my favorite sandwich. I remember it vividly! I can't believe they have made it exactly the same way 25 years later - same type of turkey, bread ...everything! My daughter is going to UVA in the fall and I am excited that she gets to enjoy the same amazing food and experiences at Little Johns!! I will definitely be coming back here when I visit Charlottesville!!

You guys are amazing! Since you opened back up I think the grubhub drivers are jacking part of your orders. I would start taking pics of every order before sending.

Food is decent, no complaints except for the portions. A single slice of each meat for a $17 sandwich? Not worth it at that price point. Corner effect I guess

Great little shop if you want to grab a quick bite for decent prices and friendly service. Got the Lite Weight (Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Honey Mustard) on flat bread. Tasted great, could’ve afforded a little more meat but overall good proportions, two pickles on the side for only 40¢ also. Never ate here in the previous management but previous photos def show larger sandwiches than now. Also no prices on the board, recommend looking at the ordering screens that also have pictures. Wasn’t busy when I came and got everything in about 3 minutes with a smile on the staff’s face! Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick pit stop.

Waste of money on this food. For a 13 dollar sub you expect quality and/or quantity and this place provides neither. Thin bread smothered in Mayo with with 2 slices of meat… this sandwhich and place are mids at best

Good food, decent prices. However please allow me the option to talk to an actual person instead of having to order at a kiosk. Then have the audacity to ask me for a tip, lol who are we tipping???

Little John’s has always been my go-to spot since my college days, so I was super bummed when they closed down. But guess what? They’re back under Bill’s management and it’s honestly better than ever. They’ve nailed keeping everything we loved about the old place—the sandwiches taste just like they used to. Plus, checking out is a breeze now. Seriously, if you loved it before or you’re just checking it out now, you’ve gotta try it. Can’t recommend it enough!

Not the old Little Johns of the past. Smaller sandwiches and much higher prices. Sampson cold, no hint of horse radish, far less meat, bread good but lacks that warm soft crunch with the melted cheese goo. That will be the last time I make a 14 mile trip to park on the corner for an expensive disappointment. Still miss my old college reliable friend -- old Little Johns.
