Had a great cortado. They know what they’re doing! Shop’s a little small but there was enough seating when I got there on a Sunday morning.

Best Latte spot in town.
When paying a premium price for a premium caffeine beverage, you want high quality, consistently. There is a lot of competition in town, but Lone Light takes the prize of 'best of' for us because of their consistency and excellence. Lone Light totally understands that 'part-time' or 'new employees' should not have their training subsidized by the patrons - and I respect that.
Plus the atmosphere is just too cool. When you get in, take a moment to ground yourself, and soak in the vibes. There are a few areas inside near the window or outside tables if you're meeting to catchup with a friend - but I'd suggest keeping the energy level and volume in check. There is a lot of quiet independent table sitters and the vibe is chill.

Great, upscale coffee shop in the Historic District of Charlottsville that caught my eye as I was leaving an appointment following a two hour drive from my home in Luray.

The iced chai with oatmilk and a honey and cardamom shot was amazing! A little spicy, a little sweet, and totally delicious. Sat and worked on my knitting and enjoyed a little canale pastry as well. Nice vibes all around. Visit and enjoy.

Lone Light is a rare gem.
I’m an admitted cappuccino snob and theirs is, without exaggeration, one of the best I’ve ever had in Virginia—silky smooth, perfectly balanced, and made with clear craftsmanship. The vibe is warm, minimal, and thoughtful, just like their coffee. If you love a good cappuccino, and light treats, this place may ruin you for the rest in Charlottesville—in the best way.

Lovely coffee shop off the mall. The plants are a charming touch. Comfy and cute with cheerful baristas. Delicious nitro cold brew! So so smooth and tasty. Free stickers, too? Too good not to visit again.
