I visited this restaurant while vacationing in Charlottesville and it was amazing! The food was some of the most flavorful Hispanic food that I've ever eaten. The servers were great and very attentive. It was clean. The out door seating was great. Highly recommended!

There is nothing "authentic" about this Mexican restaurant, not even one bit as the menu suggests. French fries with your burrito? Not a bottle of hot sauce to be seen? The wood slab for a plate is kitsch and useless if you want to drench your food with some salsa (which actually was good but watery). Burrito was fair but definitely not what I asked for. I simply asked if they had a chili verde burrito, waitress assured They did. What I got wasn't even green, it was ok but not even up to chipotle's standards.

Best nachos I've had. House made tortilla chips and fresh ingredients. I even reheated them the next day and made mini soft tacos out of them. And they were still delicious.

I would NOT recommend this place. Went, was seating by the OWNER and then for all purposes forgotten. As other tables came in orders taken were taken but not mine. Tried to get the attention of the waitstaff one was ok let me take this over here but never came back. After waiting for about 25 minutes we got up and left. I walked past the OWNER praising another customer about how perfect his restaurant is. I made sure that I introduced myself and he was very eager to shake my hand until I was telling him I was leaving due to the horrible service. He quickly turned and took the other customer away I'm assuming as not to hear me complain. A waitstaff came over to hear my complaint. We left after that and went somewhere else. We tried to give the place a second chance....... well we went on a Saturday afternoon. The "Open" sign was on, the door was wide open but not a single person to be found. This place has got to be the worst service I have ever had anywhere. Especially when the OWNER isn't concerned that tells me that I'm taking my $$$$ elsewhere. There will be NO third time.

I ended up here because the korean place I was trying to go to wasn't open yet. The authentic Mexican food sign caught my eye. I had a somewhat negative first impression at first look, and I am sure at times it is really more a college hangout. I was thinking it would be just like a lot of the dime a dozen Mexicans places that all seem to get their menus done at the same place. But no, it is actually a fairly authentic Mexican style.place. Now I am no expert on authenticity, but it did have a a home cooking style and home made tortillas. I got the camarones chipotle. It was fresh and came out quick with great flavor. Their tacos looked great too. I'd definitely like to try again if i am in the area again.

I went here on a weeknight and got the huevos rancheros. The portion size did seem small to me, and the taste of the food was pretty good. However I feel like for the price that I paid I should've gotten a little more perhaps and it just doesn't really seem worth going back to and paying full price for what's on the menu. But that's just me. However I did hear that they have night where the tacos are one dollar so I'll probably go there for those and see how they are. Update: got the dollar tacos. They are small (obviously), alright value. Taste good though!
This was the worst Mexican I've ever tasted they couldn't do a cheese enchilada so I got a cheese quesadilla and the cheese wasn't melted and my husband got chicken enchiladas and they came with folded tortillas and some kind of nasty chicken on top with a nasty lettuce side and soup looking black beans I really cannot believe they are in business I want to give it no stars but that wasn't an option unfortunately Wish when I looked at the reviews it said 3 stars and it was suppose to be closed we just would have kept looking for another place to eat

This place was amazing! The food was great, the margaritas were yummy, and the chef was wonderful. He had given his wait staff the night off after an event so he was host, waiter, and chef - super impressed! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back!

I rarely go to establishments with a rating under 4 stars, but decided to give this one a chance. It did not boost my confidence. The service was slow to the point I decided to pay for my margarita and leave after waiting 15 minutes for a cheese dip and not being offered another drink. I would potentially understand if I was out of site...BUT I was AT THE BAR. Right in front of the ladies working there. There is a first and last time for everything.
