Hidden beneath Tavern & Grocery, Lost Saint is one of Charlottesville’s best-kept secrets. The speakeasy vibe is intimate and stylish — low lighting, vintage touches, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
The cocktails are exceptional — creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. The bartenders are true professionals who can craft something unique based on your tastes. Service is always friendly and attentive without being pretentious. Lindsey and Connor were absolutely amazing!
Whether you’re on a date or out with friends, this is the perfect spot for a top-tier drink and great conversation. Easily one of the best cocktail bars in town.

We stopped by for a cocktail after dinner. Enjoyed both cocktail off the menu and a bartenders choice! Lots of pride & creativity in the cocktails served and it was nice we could order off the menu for upstairs when we were hungry.

The servers are awesome. The food is great. The bartenders were pretentious, rude to other staff and customers. Very uncomfortable sitting at the bar so we moved to a bar table away from them. Really wanted to love this place but bad ju ju from behind that bar. If you sit at the bar they just look right through you. Grab a table instead and order something to eat for a way better experience. Management needs to adress the bar issue... I get being stressed out and overwhelmed as a server or bartender... maybe servers could pour the wine or grab bottles to relieve some of the stress that is APPARENT in the service from the bar. Might give it another try, but won't be sitting at the bar. The servers were very warm and attentive. They get 5 stars.... such potential. Quite disappointed.

Located inside tavern & grocery
Seems to be a 1 drink bar. No one around me seemed to want to stick around
Good drinks, but somewhat slow service.
Staff is not very social as the bartenders seemed overwhelmed (most speakeasy bars have more personal staff)

A fantastic surprise! Just dropped in for a cocktail, the drink, atmosphere and staff were amazing. Highly recommend for a small group and conversation.
Service is sooo slow
Is it too soon to say this is my spirit home? Probably but between the drinks and apps. This has been my favorite spot in Charlottesville. I got the Burn the Strega (get it, it’s amazing) and the Dirty old Man (?) both were the best and I kinda want to make them at home. And the bison tartare is to die for.
Love love love.

I stopped in here for the first time a little over a month ago on my way back from a hiking trip. I'm glad I did. I went to the downstairs bar and had a couple drinks before their last call. I was extremely impressed by how personable the bartender was that was helping me that night. He was exactly what you'd hope for in a bartender in this type of establishment. Knowledgeable on the drinks, informative several matters, gregarious, and didnt seem to mind holding actual conversations with his bar patrons. In addition, the other bartender with whom I interacted seemed to be the same way. Further, a waitress that was coming up to the bar for her table's drinks was also extremely friendly. For those of you thinking this staff friendliness resulted in un-prompt and slow service, think again. Service was not at all stymied by this. I don't review too many business on Goolge. But I made it a point to do so for this one. The fact that I took time out of my day to do this review over a month after my visit to this establishment should speak for itself. I'll certianly come back next time I'm in Charlottesville
A speakeasy vibe with architecture that sends you back in time. Loved the espresso martinis, did a walk around the entire floor to see all the antiques, and experienced top notch service!

Loved this tucked away speak easy! The cocktails were fresh and made to order and so delicious. The vibe was just cool and fun with great music playlist and gorgeous chandelier and cute lights and quirky knick knacks around the room. Definitely recommend for a drink!

It's a very cool, cozy-ish alternative to a normal bar scene. If you can find it or know someone who knows about it, it's worth the visit.
