10/10 would recommend Luther Burger to anyone looking for a quick burger and fries that isn't fast food. I had the turkey burger along with some of the white cheddar fries and was immediately ready to go back for more!

Could be cool, had to wait for 30 minutes for our food only to get the wrong burgers with the wrong toppings. Food was cold and there was so much confusion with what was brought out we all ended up with the wrong thing. Not coming back here.

Not impressed. I am a bit shocked at the rating here. I guess if you're a vegan it's good, but it is below average for a meat eater. The Donuts are good though.

Great find, although they could use a bigger sign out front so you don't expect only to find doughnuts inside! It's hidden in the back of Sugar Shack, so we probably wouldn't have found it just looking off the street. I tried the crab burger and the vegan burger and appreciated that there were options available to suit different diets. They even asked if I wanted vegan cheese or regular cheese, which I thought was very considerate. The crab burger was okay. The vegan burger was excellent, although it was upsetting that the vegan burger was nearly twice the price of the beef burger. I likely won't return for the vegan burger unless they lower the price. They offer innovative specials such as burgers or breakfast sandwiches on doughnuts, and although I didn't brave it, my boyfriend got a kick out of the $2 mystery beers. Excellent variety overall, and nice that they have beers and ciders available.

I have been to this location on multiple occasions. Each visit the service/quality has gone downhill. At my last stop our orders were placed only to sit down and be told the kitchen was out of buns. I agreed to a plain donut for my burger, since I had already paid. 2 out of 4 burgers were missing ALL toppings and the other two had buns that looked like they had been cut in half. Our waitress told us the reason we didn't get the sauce that comes with the fries was because it just depends on how much sleep our cook has gotten!!! My coworkers and I will NEVER go back. Lack of communication and poor customer service!!

This place has the best vegan burgers and doughnuts. Every time I am in Charlottesville I have to eat here at least a couple of times. I have to say if you get a chance to eat here run don't walk you won't be sorry. And our cashier Coleman is a great ambassador for Luther Burgers he tops off a great experience .... thanks Coleman

Since I don't like donuts, I opted for the regular burger with everything on it. It was probably one of the best $5.50 burgers in town. A good burger with fresh toppings. Hard to beat that. The fries with sour cream and onion flavoring was good too. I ordered the $2 mystery beer and got a raspberry beer. I guess you can't win them all.

This place was absolutely amazing. They have one of the best vegan burgers out there and they have so many vegan flavor options for the fries and donuts, too! When we went, there were only a few people there. It's honestly one of the best hole-in -the-wall places out there and deserves so much more attention! Highly recommend.
The burger was absolutely delicious!! It was just the right size and cooked perfectly. The sauce for the waffle ries was a great compliment to the meal as well.

Luther Burger is a hard 3.5 but I'm willing to round up because I've seen improvement over my multiple visits. The fries are markedly better now compared to our first try. They are perfectly cooked with tasty seasoning, and it's reasonable for two people to split an order unless someone is starving. I also tried the somewhat-hard-to-find Impossible burger (a vegan alternative) for the first time at Luther Burger, and it was great! If you're interested in non-vegan toppings like bacon or cheese, be sure to explicitly tell them. The customer service is not without faults, but they're getting better at handling things. For example, on our most recent trip, they were out of Diet Coke from the soda fountain and my food order was prepared incorrectly, but they offered to let me get a Diet Coke from the drink case and quickly remade my order without issue. The staff is mostly the high school/college student variety, but they've been pleasant and helpful.

I don't even know where to begin! I love this place and can't wait to go back. I had been hearing about the impossible burger and I was dying to try it. I cannot believe how good it was! Luther Burger made my dreams come true with that burger. Now let's talk about these fries and the amazing list of flavors they have. It was so hard to choose just one favor but I went ahead and chose the Cajun flavored waffle fries and OMG I almost got another order of fries to go. My friend got the dragon breath fries and they were spicy but delicious. If you're looking for an alternative to the normal burger go to Luther Burger it will more than exceed your expectations.

currently here, after a 20 min I was so excited to receive my food, until it came out and our fries where cold, both burgers completely falling apart and everything we ordered to NOT be put on the burgers where on them... I am beyond dissatisfied.

Whether you are stopping here for delicious donuts from Sugar Shack or a burger from Luther Burger, you will not be disappointed. So far I have tried the crab cake sandwich and the vegan burger and I was very impressed with both. I have not yet "Luthered" a burger, swapping out the buns for two of Sugar Shacks glazed donuts, but I think that may be in my future.
