This was our first visit and we will return. We live 120 miles away and come to Charlottesville to shop and then have dinner. We were very happy with our choice of Maya. The Trout was excellent. My pork chop was cooked too well done for my taste, but otherwise tasted excellent. The room we sat in was small and relatively quiet until a party of 12 came and ... We will return!!
My husband and I ate indoors at the bar area in a booth. The drinks were very refreshing and good. The menu was very interesting. My husband enjoyed his steak and I had a delicious salad. I had a peanut butter fluff pie dessert, and it was delicious. Service was great.
Our waitress was Erin aka Mushroom and she was fantastic. She took great care of us, was knowledgeable of the menu, and had a great attitude. We had the NY Strip and the Pork chop. Both were delicious. The only complaint is that initially there are no paper menus, only digital, which to me is no longer necessary and takes away the whole point of going out to eat which is to engage with other people.
