Not sure if this location will ever open back since they won't respond to calls and messages. I enjoy mod pizza at other locations but it doesn't make sense why this particular location would just shut its doors and not respond as to whether it's going to ever open again or not. Seems like a waste of space to me.

My pizza was great but the service was horrible. The staff was outside talking when we got there and took their time to come in. Taking a personal call and sorta acted like they didn’t know what they were doing. My husband saw people trying to come in front door which was locked so they came to back door. He told the staff the front door was locked but it took them another 20 minutes to unlock it after he told them again. Really I have NEVER complained or given a bad review on any restaurant but this was ridiculous!

When I walked into the restaurant it wasn't the cleanest thing I've seen but it wasn't terrible enough to make me walk out. When I finally got served(ten minutes later) the guy smelled as if he had been smoking, he wrote down my order and a woman came to help me. (The guy who was forming the pizzas wasn't wearing gloves!) I will say they only had four people on staff at the time but they were still going really slow. While the woman was helping me another one came out and they started talking while my pizza was just sitting there(they were talking about corona virus). As she was talking you can tell spit was just falling on my food. When my pizza was finished being assembled it sat there for a few more minutes while I was being checked out. The woman who checked me out was also cooking the pizzas and putting them in there boxes. After she finished handing me back my change and cash she turned around and put my pizza in the oven!! She didn't wash her hands after she was touching cash and she had the nerve to touch my pizza with her grubby hands. By then I didn't want the stupid pizza anymore and I felt sick. To summarize: The place is gross Bad customer service Long wait time Very unsanitary Save your ten dollars and go to chipotle or the CAVA next door.

Really enjoyed coming to Mod. I've been to &Pizza (where you create your own pizza like a Chipotle experience) in the past and always wanted there to be a similar experience in Charlottesville, and Mod is just that. I love the quick service and the flavors. No complaints about the quality of food. Just one star down because the last couple of times I've been there they have a few people working that have been a bit too unprofessional in the way they communicate with customers, and sometimes the employees seem to have inward conflict with each other that comes out and makes for awkward moments.

Waited in a relatively short line for over 30 min due to workers not knowing how to make pizza efficiently and in a timely manner. Never seen workers take so long to put on toppings, get dough ready, and move pizza down the line. Put one pizza in oven at a time. Completely lacked efficiency and respect for their customers’ time. Would have left if we didn’t already put a name down for a pizza. Management needs to do better and get a better staff ASAP.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of MOD Pizza. Vegetarian toppings were fresh and speed of service was great! Great for families or groups with varied eating habits.

Upon entry, the pizza smelled very delicious. I was overall impressed. There is a large sign at the start of the ordering line that lists the pre-made choices. I chose the Dillon James (their version of a margarita pizza). My husband got the same with spicy sausage and jalapeños added - they are very accommodating with requests and I'm sure they have a make-your-own option as well. The staff were all very friendly and pleasant. They make the pizza in front of you so if you have any changes you can watch and ask them. They also have "finishing" sauces after the pizza is done baking. This was a really great addition in my opinion. My husband got the basil pesto which looked a lot better than my choice of the spicy honey. Next time I'll try the basil pesto. The only disappointing thing from this experience was that they burned my pizza the first time through so they had to remake it. I think because they felt bad, they must have felt rushed to make my second pizza and it didn't come out looking as nice as the first one (looked a little undercooked). However, the staff was very understanding and apologized for their error, they even offered me a free drink to compensate for the extra wait time. I really appreciated that they were friendly and understanding. I will give them another try at some point!
They left my pizza out on the counter without putting it in the oven for about 5 minutes. Didn't appreciate the unnecessary wait

Had lunch here and the staff was very nice. The pizza was made just as I requested. The wait time was not long at all. We initially tried out the hIgh top tables but then moved to a booth which was way more comfortable then the high top. Great place would totally go back again.

Hand crafted, customized pizzas right in front of you. What's not to love?! We enjoyed customizing our own pizzas with the LOADS of toppings and sauces here. It was fun to get creative and it was SO delicious at the end! Great customer service too. The crafters answered all of our questions and waited patiently as we tried to decide what to make. There was one girl at the end who seemed really slow getting our pizzas ready after they were out of the oven, but other than that- fantastic service. We'll for sure be back!
