Great BBQ. Everything we had was good. Brisket was excellent. Banana pudding is mighty good too! And that cornbread…man you better get your granny a helmet cause everybody gonna be trying to slap her upside her head it’s so good.
The food was very good. I recommend the Mac and Cheese and cornbread.
No frills, homey, very friendly and extremely delicious! The service is over the top! Get the ribs, the collards, the beans, chicken with white sauce- all perfectly cooked and delicious. The service is basically self serve- order at the counter, but everyone there was just delightful.
This was the best food we had in Charlottesville by far.
We used Moe's Original BBQ to cater our community picnic. From start to finish I have nothing but wonderful things to say.
Derek helped me with all the details and was there for me when I needed to make a last minute change! JT came on the day of the picnic and was prompt, professional and a delight to work with. Food was excellent but it's the people who made all the difference. J.T an Derek, thanks for making this event a success!

Great food. Friendly people.
The food usually is good here. I ordered delivery today, 1/4 of the meat on the bbq sandwich was burnt. Mac n' Cheese was great.

Wonderful BBQ. I had the catfish sandwich, slaw and baked beans. The slaw is a sweet vinegar which is delicious. It was on the sandwich, too. Baked beans have a slight BBQ flavor.
I took two stars off because they don't have table service. Order at the counter and they call your name. It's not that big of a place and they could do table service. Then the payment machine asks for a tip. Why am I tipping when I have to get my own food and bus my own table?
I would eat there again.

The smoked Turkey was sooooo good! I tried a sample of it and the chicken before buying and I’m so glad I did because the taste was amazing. It came with 2 sides, so I ordered corn and Mac n cheese. The macaroni and cheese was flavorful and cheesy. I was not a huge fan of the flavor of the corn but it was hot & fresh. The corn bread was sweet and moist. I would return again to try the smoked chicken wings. All employees were very helpful, welcoming and happy to be there 😌 I’d recommend the smoked Turkey hands down!

Y'all, let me tell you 'bout this BBQ joint that'll have you doing the happy dance right in your seat!
Walking up to Moe's, that smoky aroma hit me like a ton of delicious bricks - my stomach started doing backflips and my mouth turned into Niagara Falls. The manager came out acting like we were long-lost cousins at a family reunion, and I ain't mad about it!
Listen here, folks - them baked beans? SWEET BABY RAY AND ALL HIS COUSINS! They were so good, I wanted to rent a kiddie pool and just splash around in 'em (health department permitting, of course). These beans would make your grandma throw her recipe book in the trash and demand the secret.
The pulled pork sandwich was so tender it was falling apart faster than my New Year's resolutions. And that jalapeño cornbread? It'll tickle your taste buds and make your tongue do the electric slide!
My wife's turkey was slap-yo-mama good (sorry, Ma!). She wouldn't stop yappin' about it - I mean, this bird was so juicy it could've solved a drought. The slaw had her doing the happy dance in her seat like she just won the lottery!
The service was sweeter than a Georgia peach, and the whole experience was more satisfying than finding money in your old jeans. If this place was any more authentic, it'd need its own country music song.
Bottom line: If you ain't tried Moe's yet, you're missing out. Get your hungry self down there faster than a hot knife through butter!
P.S. Those baked beans, though... I'm still dreaming about 'em! 🤤

I need to preface this with and I'm trying to be as neutral as possible because there was a family member who was employed at Moe's, and we heard how good it was through him.
He hasn't been employed there for some time, and this was the first time I'd ever actually ate in the restaurant. You order the food and then they'll call your name out when it's done. It's a very simplified process. It's a nice sized restaurant with plenty of seating, however when we were there it got really busy which is a good sign. There were just as many people sitting in as there were people coming in and taking out food.
The person I was with ordered the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese and had a beer. She really enjoyed the food.
I order the smoked wings with mac and cheese and an order of fries. I don't know what I was really expecting when I ordered the food. But I was pretty blown away by the flavor of the wings, and how crispy and juicy they were. The French fries had a flavor that I can't describe but they were really good as I don't know what type of seasoning was put on them. The mac and cheese appears to be homemade and it is also very good. The portion size of the wings was perfect. I wish the mac and cheese and french fries were a little bit bigger, however I was very satisfied with my meal. I would definitely go back there and the price was very reasonable for what you get. The only issue I have with the location is the parking, as it is cramped and if you don't get there at the right time you may not get parking and may have to find elsewhere to park and walk.
Parking: Parking is very cramped at this location. If you get there at the right time it won't be too bad. We got there around 5:00 p.m. . There was plenty of parking and only one or two other people inside. About 20 minutes later the parking lot was full and they were a lot of people in the restaurant.
