Mudhouse Coffee Roasters is such a gem in Charlottesville. The coffee is always rich, smooth, and full of flavor—you can tell they really care about quality. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. The staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in town!

Can’t say enough on how poor my experience was here. Ordered a simple latte and they took over 20 minutes to make it. I would understand if they were super busy but they weren’t, it was so delayed because the 3 baristas behind the bar just talked to each other the whole time and then one guy made a drink for himself, all while me and other customers were waiting. Will not be supporting this business.

The espresso drinks here are some of my favorite tasting of the city, and I love coming here to sip and sit on the downtown mall. However some of the baristas are very socially awkward/often rude. It’s an everyday occurrence and not a one-off. When it’s super busy it’s one thing, but it really doesn’t take much to greet or return a greeting of your customers. Or how about simply not glaring with blank stares or one word responses? When I start to feel awkward coming in to order/making myself as small as possible, it’s a fair sign ya’ll need to improve your FOH skills. Remember y’all work in service just as much as in coffee.

The employees treated us very un personally and we asked about the restroom they said quite dry it is closed without any further explanation or we are so sorry because of this or that…

A few friends and I stopped by here to get some work done before an evening concert. This was a great place to post up, they have fast wifi, lots of seating, and easily accessible outlets. They also have lots of natural light. The coffee was great tasting as well, though I felt they added a bit too much ice.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed near this coffee shop during our trip to Virginia. I would’ve given this coffee shop 10 stars, if I could! The coffee was consistently great everyday. A rarity, in my humble opinion. The service was even better! As someone who truly loves quality coffee and attention to detail, I cannot recommend this Mudhouse Specialty Coffee Roasters enough!
