I really loved the two cappuccini and two egg breakfast with sausage links and multigrain toast I had here. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The vibe is casual, seating is comfortable. Opens early, which I like.

Menu and pictures are misaligned. There are no poached eggs on the menu and most food is pre made and reheated. Food was good, but menu small.

Decent coffee and food. The staff were pretentious and rude. Cute place though.

I had a reservation as part of a group for my mom’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately, the morning of the celebration, I tested positive for Covid 🙁 the reservation I made was nonrefundable, but I figured I would call anyway to see if we could get some money back. The woman I spoke with was very nice and said she’d pass my name along to her supervisor who would get back to me. I didn’t hear anything for a couple of days and was going to follow up once I felt better, and then I got a notification that they gave us a full refund! So easy, which I was so grateful for, considering how I was feeling. So, unfortunately I never got the opportunity to actually stay at the hotel, but my experience with them was great and I will absolutely book a room there the next time I need to stay in Charlottesville!

The scrambled eggs were overcooked and too salty to eat which was surprising given the price. Potatoes were cooked well but also far too salty. The sourdough toast was delicious. But for $16-$20 a plate not really worth it.

Went for brunch today and there was hardly one else there, which made me a little concerned, but I think people just don’t know about this gem. The food was so good. This is the best brunch Ive had Charlottesville. Everyone I was with enjoyed the food. This is listed as a coffee bar but the food appears to be cooked fresh out of the pink grouse kitchen, and it was amazing. Highly recommend!
