I really loved the two cappuccini and two egg breakfast with sausage links and multigrain toast I had here. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The vibe is casual, seating is comfortable. Opens early, which I like.

I had a reservation as part of a group for my mom’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately, the morning of the celebration, I tested positive for Covid 🙁 the reservation I made was nonrefundable, but I figured I would call anyway to see if we could get some money back. The woman I spoke with was very nice and said she’d pass my name along to her supervisor who would get back to me. I didn’t hear anything for a couple of days and was going to follow up once I felt better, and then I got a notification that they gave us a full refund! So easy, which I was so grateful for, considering how I was feeling.
So, unfortunately I never got the opportunity to actually stay at the hotel, but my experience with them was great and I will absolutely book a room there the next time I need to stay in Charlottesville!

Went for brunch today and there was hardly one else there, which made me a little concerned, but I think people just don’t know about this gem. The food was so good. This is the best brunch Ive had Charlottesville. Everyone I was with enjoyed the food. This is listed as a coffee bar but the food appears to be cooked fresh out of the pink grouse kitchen, and it was amazing. Highly recommend!
