Red Crab Charlottesville

The last few times I’ve been to this establishment over the 2023 year, it has been great in my opinion. Genuinely speaking I’m surprised it does not have more reviews.

Food and service were great!

The fried oysters were phenomenal… the service was excellent… can’t wait to go back there!!!

Food was okay and staff was friendly. However the bar is extremely sterile and unpleasant. Whoever thought putting fluorescent lights in this area made a terrible call. Pendant lights would be softer and make the atmosphere more appealing. Beer is also WAY overpriced!Probably won’t be back.

Pretty average all the way around. Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner, middle of the week. There were maybe 6 people there. My wife had the grilled salmon, and I had the shrimp po boy with fries. We both thought they were okay, but nothing special. The fries were great though, and the service was pretty good. The interior will make you think you're on vacation at Virginia Beach or Nags Head. Very "touristy" on the inside.

Went to this location after going to the Fredericksburg one. Which service wasn’t that great on a slow Saturday a few weeks back . So my girlfriend and I decided to come to the cville one . Service was pretty bad from the drinks mistakes , didn’t know who our server was for awhile and we ordered extra stuff to not get it . Server kept walking by us . But rarely checked in to see if we were good or needed anything else . Food in both locations were good by all means . Just the service was pretty poor in our eyes . I don’t know if or when I’d come back to a red crab anytime soon
