Our sandwiches (cheese steak and kickin' chicken) were delicious! The man who took our order was very friendly and patient as we decided what to pick.

What a hidden gem!!!!! This feeling is only enhanced when you walk through the door to this quaint yet spacious reprieve from your day. The staff is amazing and the customers always smiling. Got a great recommendation and was totally satisfied. I didn’t order one but watching their perfectly crafted wraps being served was tempting. The wraps were layered evenly and looked picture perfect. This is a place you MUST seek out when in the area.

Drove from Richmond to enjoy soup!

I feel the revolutionary spirit. Every time I’m here I want to revolt against the kitchen for the ridiculous wait times for a sandwich and a cup of premade soup. 45 minutes is enough for me to wait another few years before coming back. The soup’s great though , can’t argue with that.

Love this place! One of my favorite in Cville... kind of tucked away but easily found. Great soup and sandwiches

Truly a Charlottesville institution, Rev Soup has been a staple on the DTM for decades. Reliable, consistent, and delicious. One of our favorite spots.

Went with the Spicy Chicken Tortilla soup. I personally feel that it’s missing some key ingredients and it was more of a tomato basil chicken soup than anything else. Missing beans, corn cilantro, cheese and tortillas! Yes provided some small amount on tortillas strips.

I write this after my last three visits. The corn muffins used to be light and slightly sweet. The last three were flat, dry and had no resemblance of the muffins that I used to enjoy.
Today I had the crab chowder. I could not taste crab in the stock and the fish appeared to be tilapia.
I will not return.

A hole in the wall and that is a good thing. Great soups and sandwiches in an eclectic setting. Who could ask for more?

A very warm, comforting food experience I had at this place. The soups and sandwiches are amazing. Freshly cooked, warm, and very refreshing flavors. Nice intimate place for communal eating. A must winter place to visit.

On a cold, rainy fall day, a bowl of hot soup is a great idea. If you're in this town, make sure Revolutionary Soup is providing that soup.
They have a pick two option that lets you try a half sandwich (served as a wrap) and a small soup. We each had one plus a third small soup on the side for a total of five menu options. Every single one of them would be worth having again on their own. Among the soups, though, the lamb curry truly stood out as an outstanding flavor. Both the Kickin' Chicken and Thai Chicken wraps were amazing.

This was a wonderful find. I'm in town for a conference and I really enjoyed the food. I was blown away that the corn muffin was sweet. I have never had that outside my grandmothers home. It was a wonderful surprise. I will visit again.
