Awesome spot. Fries need some flavor. Cheese balls were amazing. Philly was pretty damn good. Server was smoking hot.

burger was way overcooked, crispy in fact. if you complain they blast you for it. never again.

First time there. Had a chicken Phili sub and fries. My companion had a bacon cheeseburger that was like a smash burger, grilled fresh. Both meals exceeded our expectations. Service was quick and exceptional. Atmosphere was nothing to write about. But it was hopping with familes. I'd definitely go back!

The food is just OK, typical greasy, messy, tavern fare that comes to you within a few minutes of ordering. The staff is friendly and attentive. It bugs me that the cleanliness of the cook line is so slack. BUT, watch out, this place tacks on a service charge, on top of a processing fee service charge if you pay with a card and you won't know that until you go to the counter to pay. Not cool.

This this is a long overdue review of Riverside lunch north. Sadly, one day, my woman and I went to Riverside and expected the same experience that we’ve been getting at the Riverside lunch in Charlottesville the one that is located on The corner of Hazel and high Street. Unfortunately, we weren’t greeted nor acknowledged And for any person of color, I would assume that the same what happened to you. The servers look at us in our face to help the pre-existing customers that were there then had the audacity to then start helping customers two tables who came in after me and my lady had already sat down. We didn’t even get a drink, not a water cup not a order to put in, so we left our head held high the audacity of this restaurant I’ve been supporting for the past five or so years to treat me as if I did not exist. Absolutely unacceptable for me and honestly for anyone else so again not to bring racing to it, but everyone else who was sitting down, was clearly Caucasian. So for them to then get the orders and bring drinks to the tables of two other tables that entered the building after us I find it highly disrespectful and honestly, it seems as if the culture and tenacity of the establishment/employees is just something that is accepted or allowed. I haven’t been back to the location at hazel and high either. Don’t go here!!!!!! It’s not the 1800s.

Burger and onion rings were amazing.

So I got up to pay and she Rings it up and gives me one price and then when I pull out my credit card she gives me a different price and there is not a clear sign in front of the register saying they charged an extra fee it is about a foot off to the side in tiny print that is faded and worn out because of water marks I say well then fine I'll pay cash and she can't fix the register so she runs off to go get somebody and then they try and charge me a different price because they don't know how to do their job and I would not recommend eating here ever until they figure out how to run a proper business

This was a perfect place to stop in for lunch with my son. The service was so fast and the food was great. My five stars don't mean I think this is a gourmet experience, but for a mom & pop hamburger grill joint experience, they execute in a five-star way.
