Wished there was a Roots in Huntsville! Roots is my go to place when I am in Virginia!

My only complaint about this place is that no matter how many times I click "no red onions" somehow red onions get into the salad. Maybe it's premixed but it always happens and ruins the salad for me.

My Apollo order was nothing but rice! Literally had 10 pieces of green (spinach or such) in it and that's all. $16.23 for a RICE BOWL. Pitiful.

The food is very good. The menu is clear with what's gf and not. I wish I knew I had to ask for no Pita chips mixed in even if it said gf ?♀️

Always news staff members when I go, and the quality of the salad produced has dwindled to none. Got a salad that I had been getting for 6 years and it was slopped together in a bowl with so much dressing you could pour it out on the ground. I don’t think I will be back.

Bowls are consistently good and the menu has a wide variety of options to choose from for everyone.
Love this place. Their salads are one of my favorite treats when I want to eat healthy but don't want to cook. The sweet potato is so good. Only downside is parking can be tricky when UVA is in session.

My son brought me to this place for my birthday, because we’re vegan, and they seemed to have good options. When we arrived, I needed to use the restroom, so my son asked for me, if there was a public restroom (when you walk in, there isn’t any seating or anything visible other than the kitchen, so there’s no way to know). One of the employees snapped at him about not having public restrooms until I told him we were buying food. It was so rude and embarrassing to my son. And so what if we weren’t buying food!?? You’re seriously that passionate about not letting non paying humans the privilege of using your toilet? We’re all people. You’re going to turn away someone that needs to pee?? We’re obviously not there to steal your toilet later.I’ve lived in plenty of cities. I understand the need to monitor, but he was unnecessarily so rude about it! My son asked nicely. I didn’t want to stay, but my son insisted. The other employee was really nice and I forgot about the silly goose that made want to boop him in the nose. I’ll pass on another visit.Vegetarian options: The food is not the problem

Great food, ambiance is a little average in the upstairs seating (they should really put in an outdoor balcony over the rooftop next door) but the food is great. Grab it to go and sit in the college grounds across the road would be my suggestion for next time.

Got a few bowls here and really enjoyed them. You can substitute an ingredient, such as spinach for kale, without a problem. It's tasty, healthy food at an affordable price with quick service. That's a good formula, and Roots adds to the quality of life in Cville.
