finally after months of being sold out of the special Wednesday wing special I finally got the deal ..first time trying their wings and oh my better then bduds . Natasha was nice on the phone and very bubbly when I picked up my order.. I just forgot to order ranch dressing..but overall wings was great I will ordered next week..

Some of the BEST soul food! They have a lot of good options to pick from such as fried chicken, fish, burgers, wings, yams, Mac and cheese, collards, corn pudding, potato salad, etc… and my favorite, which is the smothered pork chops with gravy and onions. SO GOOD! The sweet potato pie is AMAZING! It has a nice buttery crust, and the sweet potato filling is delicious. Kesha ( the owner) is very polite and makes us feel welcome every time we visit. She definitely cares about her customers and puts a lot of love into her food. Which is why I will ALWAYS be a loyal customer.
This was the best food I've had in a restaurant in a while! I got the 10 wing meal with green beans and Mac n cheese and it was sooooooo delicious!!! The owner is such an amazing woman and she really makes you feel at home and welcomed! I will be coming back!

Kesha is the best owner! She really makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door! I came here because I saw how delicious the food look in the pictures lol. And she did not disappoint! The food was so good, I came back the next day! And I live in Richmond! This place is well worth it!

My friends and I were looking for good food to sit down to after a day of driving Skyline and decided in this restaurant because it serves collard greens and easy eats. As we pull in, we notice the sign says its a soul food restaurant. Haven't had soul food in a restaurant in a decade or two because some just don't get how to make good soul food. Like many cuisines with roots in the family kitchen, soul food comes from the heart of the cook. Well I am here to say, this cook puts a bit of her heart in every dish. Collards are superb. The wings, fried catfish, chicken and shrimp to die for and I would be remiss if I don't mention the potato salad. This potato salad is fantastic. I have consumed some potato salad over the years. From Minnesota to the I10 corridor and beyond and this potato salad is definitely in the top 3 best ever. Biggest regrets: being too full to try the wonderful looking desserts AND not taking names. Our server told us the cook makes everything from scratch. Not a can or box to be seen. He told us she takes pride in crafting her food. In my opinion, this pride shows. We unabashedly applauded her for the fine meal. Of course this earned us a look from everyone lined up to grab their take out meals. Maybe they already know this is the best hidden gem in Charlottesville.
