If you like IPAs and beer with a high IBU content this brewery is for you! Loved the veggie burgers and great fries. Hands down the best bathrooms in Charlottesville.

Good atmosphere and food. Our server, Miriam, was excellent. As busy as they were, she managed get us everything we needed before we needed it.

My husband and I entered the brewery, were reviewing to beer choices. We were told go to a table a server will be with you and walk away.
At the table a server came by with water and glasses. Stated he would be back. We waited 15 mins and left. There were only two other tables occupied during our visit.
Most likely we will never go there again.

Best brews in the Charlottesville area

Great lagers, great beer in general. The guys behind this operation seem to know their beer. The taproom has plenty of space, is fairly clean and the service was top notch. We asked if we could start out and try a flight, but that wasn't available here. Our waiter did his best and brought us several of the styles in the smallest pours that Selvedge offers. We liked everything we tried. My favorite was something called Pro-Seam, Please 14⁰ Tmavé Pivo, which was a wonderful tasting dark Czech Lager. We will stop by again the next time we are in town and try more of the various styles of beer.

Great spot for some networking. We went with a few business associates and had a great time. Good beer, light fare, burgers were top notch. Thanks for having us!

A little gem. Quite good beer brewed on premises. Very good bar food. And excellent service (thanks, Rick) in a super cool environment. Great for all ages.

Ending up sitting at the bar with one of the owners for lunch this past Wednesday. He was an absolute class act, humble, passionate, kind. He genuinely is invested in creating an awesome space for people and his employees. Staff was friendly and attentive, beer and food were great. Easy to get to, plenty of parking, I’ll be back.

This is one of the top places in town IMO. It helps that they have employee such as Erin and Tess. You always feel welcome when you enter the establishment and they greet you with their welcoming smiles.

I go to Selvedge regularly and absolutely love it. The beer is right up there with the best, especially their lagers - so far this year the Vienna lager, Franconian inspired vollbier, Czech style pilsner, and Czech style dark lagers have all knocked my socks off. They also do lovely ales, especially British style bitters, which are sometimes available on cask from a proper handpull. The service is also excellent, whether it is Erin when I sit at the bar, or one of the other servers like Tess or Rick when I am in with family or friends, they are all supremely friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The food is really good, I love the Selvedge burger with bacon jam! Yep, I am a fan and I recommend Selvedge whole-heartedly!
