Not cheap but the atmosphere is nice
Awesome ambiance, fantastic coffee, plenty of seating available. It’s amazing how many places can screw up an iced oat milk latte, but theirs was perfect 👌🏼
Incredibly poor operations when busy - It took 29 minutes to get a latte. The barista was working her butt off, but the two other employees were just largely standing around when they could have been helpful pouring milk, steaming milk, pulling shots, dosing out syrup, etc. anything to help the bottlenecks. Please train your cashiers in how to bar.
Great coffee for a good price, lots of room and not too busy.
They have spots for big groups or small groups.
Plenty of outlets available around.

This whole place is a vibe. Was super cool to walk in and see the whole roasting setup right there in front of my eyes. Sooo many coffees to choose from. It was my first time in, was getting a surprise for my coworker. I made a strange request at the counter. The barista agreed to it and was super sweet and even personally brought me out a little compostable tray to help me carry my drinks out. I Was super appreciative ❤️it’s the little things. Plus the espresso was delicious and just the thing I didn’t know I needed! If you like to drink real, good, properly made coffee…this is the spot
Its a lovely place and the staff are wonderful but I didn’t prefer the decaf latte

This place has a tendency to belittle, patronize, condescend, and generally treat customers with little respect. I'm white, and although they are rude as a general rule, in the last month I have observed them be particularly disrespectful towards Black customers, to whom they will serve drinks they didn't ask for and then try to convince them that this is actually how that particular drink is made. Cumbre at the Dairy Market is close and has better customer service.

If you’re black, I don’t recommend going here. The white baristas are micro aggressive and rude. Literally, they would rather give snide remarks to customers over trivial issues like drink preferences or lids, rather than speaking to people with bare minimum respect.

Every time I visit the baristas make side comments and rude statements about my order. They also do not seem knowledgeable and act confused when I try to order the most basic things. I've also noticed they seem to be extra rude whenever the customer isn't white...

Great vibe, great coffee.
Just be aware that there aren't that many food options! But there are many great coffees options and an amazing space to work.

New to Charlottesville, I heard this place has the best coffee. This is true; the coffee is excellent. However, my first time here made me hesitant to come back. The staff is rude, and the system is weird. I asked the worker at the cash register if the coffee sitting there, with no name or any indication of its contents, was mine. She asked the barista, and I thought I heard them say no, it's not, but the lady at the register said yes and told me to take it. The barista then raises their voice and aggressively tells me that it's not my coffee, asking me in an accusatory tone if I had taken a drink. If they had just been more pleasant, it would have been fine, but it was a bummer after a long early shift to be yelled at. If they had a better system and labeled their cups, the grumpy barista wouldn't have to interact with customers, and we could all have a more pleasant experience. Just had to remind myself to stay pleasant because you never know what someone is going through. I'd rather go somewhere with coffee that isn't as good but has friendly staff than go here after a long shift again.

Very cool alternative to the ____, big box coffee store most people frequent. We enjoyed a couple of snacks with good coffee and good atmosphere.

best coffee in the city muh bruthas
Loveeeeeed the power ball bites and the chai tea. The space was nice and open, and there was plenty of seating throughout the shop.
I really love this place. It's cozy, quite spacious, and the coffee and pastries are delicious. I'd highly recommend coming here for a study spot or to socialize.
