One of the perks of working near The Corner is that Starbucks is a stone throws away. The baristas' are always so nice and welcoming even when I only stop in for two seconds. Really cool upstairs that is usually quiet and a great place to get work done. My drinks aren't always perfect but I'm always satisfied.

I went in to Starbucks to order a holiday drink and get a reusable red cup. Starbucks no longer makes gingerbread or eggnog lattes. Boo!!! I found a site online that suggested adding 2 pumps whit mocha and 1 pump chai to a cinnamon dulce latte, reproduces the gingerbread latte reasonably well. It does, btw. That’s a *metric boatload* of sugar, however, and Starbucks used to have sugar free Cinnamon dulce syrup, so I thought I would get the cinnamon dulce part sugar free, and the white chocolate mocha and chai their normal, sugary selves. Because this is not an official holiday drink, no red cup for me. Which I’m not blaming the barista for that, she doesn’t make the rules, however, this cost over $8. Strikes me it ought to qualify. I order my extra ridiculous gingerbread latte substitute, receive it, take a sip, and while it does taste mighty fine, no *way* it only has half the sugar. I check the label on the cup. Sugar free is not mentioned. I ask the young woman who took my order, and was told Starbucks no longer Carrie’s sugar free syrups. She should have told me that when I ordered. I might have purchased it anyway, but I would have liked to have *known*. So, no reusable cup, and $8 spent on something that was not what I wanted. Hard to feel good about that.

Visited here in late June and it must have been after the majority of the students that go to the campus, UVA, across the street go home after the semester ends. Came here both mornings I was in Charlottsville, VA and there was never a line and had great coffee which is the usual at Starbucks. I can't drink regular Dunkin' Donuts anymore as its just too weak and I have been brewing strong dark roasts such as Star Bucks Sirens blend and Komodo Dragon dark roast on the reg. Thank you for reading and definitely stop in here for your early morning wake up drinks before strolling the beautiful UVA campus. Sitting on the rotunda designed by the father of UVA, Thomas Jefferson, while sipping on your coffee......doesn't get much more relaxing than that : ) As always people SYOY!!!

I was here on a Sunday afternoon this summer and the service was outstanding. Cashier was a very friendly guy and the barista did her job incredibly fast. Can’t remember their names but management should be proud of their team.

DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET POLITICALLY CORRECTED ALL THE TIME. Especially as someone of color you won’t be able to get away with things like other people can. Even for the smallest thing you can be 1-2 minutes late or right on time and getting your stuff ready to go manager will talk to you about being late… it’s ridiculous. Soo yea it’s a place where if you don’t say what they wanna hear then you will be snitched on.

listen, I usually love the coffee i get from here but the barista, Cassie?? I believe, was not the best. My drink had way too much ice in it. I know Starbucks a ton of ice but this was ridiculous and an obscene amount of ice. And it just tasted off. Not a fan. who would even go to this Starbucks since there are so many better ones nearby. often is super busy and they just don’t know how to make the drinks as well. Go somewhere else if you want an authentic Starbucks drink.
