I recently visited Tavern & Grocery for a date night with my boyfriend, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. We started with the burrata, which was served simply with tomatoes that were overly salty and had an extremely weird texture. It was also not served with any bread.
For the main course, I ordered the gnocchi, which was served on a sweet potato puree. I normally love sweet potatoes, the puree did not taste good, the portion size also felt quite small for the price. My boyfriend chose the salmon, and the salmon was cold, served in a watery lentil base, and lacked flavor overall.
We are not picky eaters, but we could not even finish half our servings because of the taste, and we left feeling disappointed. We understand that not every meal is for everyone, but based on this visit, we don’t think we’ll be returning. That said, the service was friendly, and we hope others may have better experiences with different dishes.

Service was almost non existent. We had to ask for a waiter repeatedly. A couple sitting next to us left without eating after 2 hours waiting.
They had only one bottle of wine we were drinking. The entrees were very small, basically at appetizer size.
Extremely disappointed with having to pay over $300 for 4 people.
Will never go back to this restaurant.

We came for a romantic dinner at Tavern & Grocery and it did not disappoint. The space is bricked with wood beams and is intimate and cozy. We got the burrata to start and it was so creamy and delicious. We ordered the gnocchi with sweet potato & rapini and the chicken. Both were amazing. The gnocchi was over a creamy mashed sweet potato that was so yummy. The chicken was so juicy it melted in our mouths. Waitstaff was terrific. Definitely coming back!

Five stars is not enough. Sat at the bar, Kathleen made us amazing cocktails. Then, bison steak and scallops with risotto. Both we're absolutely perfection. Cannot wait to come this way again, and guarantee we'll be stopping at Tavern and Grocery.

A lovely woman brought me here for my birthday and the staff (Rita and Kyle) were so warm and friendly that I felt like I was at home with family! The food was incredible, the wine and champagne were absolutely fantastic as was the custom cocktail made by Conner. Loved chatting with Drew when we would come and check on our experience periodically throughout the evening! I adore the ambiance this location creates! Can’t wait to go back!
