Thai Cuisine & Noodle House - Trad. Thai, Noodles, & Pho

If I could give 10 stars on service, I would. My partner and I ordered carry out the other night. She does not like sauces with spicy heat, so we had a lot of questions on the phone about Panang Curry. We just wanted to make sure it was a degree of heat she could tolerate. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly patient with my questions. She did her best to describe the amount of heat, which is hard to do. When I arrived to pick up the order, I was greeted by another very friendly woman. At the register, I was told that the chef prepared the Panang ultra lite without taking away flavor. She also gave us a container of Panang curry so we could taste the normal #1. Compliments to the chef for altering the Panang and for the wonderfully friendly folks who work there. The food was absolutely delicious, too! Looking forward to eating in next time!

Best Thai food in Charlottesville (and the staff are so friendly)! I especially love their wonton soup and pad see ew.

This is our go-to Thai place in Charlottesville. We live very close by and get Thai food from here every couple weeks. We always order online and I cannot stress enough how fast they prepare the food for you, it’s insane. Also, I like to get my food Thai hot and this place makes it hotter than any other place in Charlottesville if you’re into that sort of thing. If not, they make non-hot food very good too (according to my wife).

The food was great, but there was one unpleasant moment. When my dish arrived, I started taking pictures to share with my husband. Suddenly, the server, who seemed to be a manager, asked, 'Did you eat it already?' When I said no, he took my plate away before I even began eating! I was shocked because he didn’t explain or apologize. It turned out he had brought the wrong order. While the food was fantastic, the way they handled the situation left me feeling upset. I’d love to return for the food, but thinking about how they treated me makes me hesitate.

Fantastic meals every time. The boat noodle soup and red curry stir fry are stand outs to me, but I've never had a bad experience. Friendly and efficient staff, great food, easy going.

This wonderful gem of a Thai restaurant! I have never had a bad meal from these sweet generous folks who own and run it. Service is impeccable, and I can’t say enough about how delicious their food is! Do yourself the biggest favor and get in here!!!

1st time I visited this restaurant was in 2017,
I recently went back in Sept 2024.

It was incredibly fresh and fantastic then and still is now.

The staff is always welcoming, the restaurant was impeccably clean in the dining area and the food was all flavorful and filling.

My favorites from this visit were the tiger tear style beef salad, papaya salad and the duck soup. Everything was perfect that we ordered but those were my favorites, full of flavor to make your taste buds dance of joy.

I would definitely recommend and keep visiting wheneverI'm in Charlottesville.

Arrive Early!
Arrived at 4:50 PM on a Saturday, and were seated right away. Within 20 minutes, the place was full and people were waiting for available tables. They also were doing a substantial take-out business.

Your Nav App Might Stop Short of Getting You There!
Our nav app brought us into the parking lot from Commonwealth Dr and announced that we'd arrived. Aside from an African market at the far end, the shopping center looked dead. Thankfully we drove around back where we then found the restaurant.

Wonderful Food!
Top notch preparation. A number of enticing items on the menu beyond the standards. The Curry Puffs appetizer - excellent. The Fish Basil entree (fried catfish) - wonderful. Kua Gai entree - very nice.

The drunken noodle was very good. However, I had the worst pad Thai in my life…. It’s hard to mess up this traditional and classic dish so I don’t really know what they did wrong. The sweet and sour taste just wasn’t right.

Recommended dishes: Pho Tai

So my wife visits with her seniors group! We have been here twice ! I like Asian fish dishes! I found two: one a hit was the catfish and the second was either swai a less quality fish both prepared the same with the latter more seasoned! Service is great but hard to get a second glass of water! I like where we have been seated but it's the ugliest table ! lol! This is a great stop before a movie! Dishes are somewhat light of protein but enjoyable!
