Very nice bar and restaurant. Excellent creative cocktails. Location is great. Decor is spot on for a classic spot.

Attended a concert in Charlottesville a few weeks ago and had dinner at The Fitzroy prior. What a great restaurant! Location is right in the heart of the walking mall. Lively and cool atmosphere but also more quiet tables in the back. The menu is varied and offers multiple vegetarian options. My wife had the Mushroom Shawarma and I had the Lemon Caeser salad with Fried Chicken. Both were Excellent! Really nice beer and wine selections and my wife had one of their specialty cocktails which she loved. Very reasonable pricing on food and drinks. The staff was welcoming and very efficient, they made the dining experience at The Fitsroy fun! This restaurant was a fantastic find!! We have a new go to place whenever we go to Charlottesville.

I went with my husband and another couple this past week for dinner. Drinks were good but the food was less than mediocre. My salad was warm and old tasting. The fried chicken on top also tasted old and greasy. I would not recommend this restaurant for anything other than appetizers and drinks. We did have an artichoke dip that was ok. But it had greasy fried pita chips

We went to The Fitzroy on a Friday night. Pregame gathering for a football game. Warm greetings from the staff added to the ‘happening’ atmosphere. Wonderful food and service. Although we live over 600 miles away, whenever we visit C’ville, we’re going back to the Fitzroy. If you’re nearby, make it your plan as well.

We dined at The Fitzroy the last time we were in Charlottesville. We were seated outside and the weather was amazing. The food was solid and the service was excellent!

My go to spot for espresso martinis and a good pretzel. The staff is always nice as well. I also recommend the lemon Cesar salad.

Get the burger and sweet potato fries or the pork chop. The steak and shawarma were not good.

Looking for brunch we discovered The Fitzroy. Pictures on web looked attractive. Sadly, the Sunday buffet brunch mentioned apparently ended 3 years ago!! We stayed anyway, for the attractive outdoor seating. They have a traditional breakfast, but ONLY with scrambled eggs! And, they don’t serve toast!! WHAT?? Chicken and waffles: Chicken was very good. Waffles were small and soggy. The Big Donut is not sweet. It’s just bread with thin frosting. Coffee was weak and warm, never hot. Even when we asked for a fresh cup. People were very nice. This place has potential but falls short.
Great selection of food and staff are lovely. Very busy but tables are not crowded so you can still enjoy a good conversation without needing to shout.

Service is a joke. It’s is non existent. Waited a long time at the bar when it wasn’t busy with no acknowledgment. They also don’t understand how to answer a phone.

We sat outside on a mild evening and had a wonderful time. Service was fine. A busker nearby provided live music. The food was good, but not as good as I would have hoped; though the sweet potato fries were exceptional. The chicken entree not so much. While we didn't dine inside, the inside looked very nice and consistent with better than average dining.

Made a reservation for 8 on the patio before checking the weather. We called ahead when we realized it would be raining during dinner. They had already taken the liberty to move our reservation inside! Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. Each person in our party ordered a different dish and none of them disappointed. Both food and drinks were top notch. The experience was only made better by our server Carly, she went above and beyond to make sure we were all satisfied with our meals and even shared some tips as we are out of towners! This is a restaurant I will for sure recommend to anyone coming to Charlottesville! Hope to one day return.
