The Ivy Inn Restaurant

A bit pricey (which was fine) and everyone was nice, but we were split on the food. Make reservations ahead of time.

Our server seemed bothered by us and was always in a rush. Food was good but for the cost, lamb was very tiny and overcooked.

Not one to write reviews, but Ivy Inn deserves one. The trout was amazing! Kyle did a perfect job, making sure we had what we needed without interrupting our meal. Takes a special person to do that just right. We ended with the creme brulee, which was heavenly. If you are ever in Charlottesville - this is the place to dine!!!

Exceeded expectations which were high given multiple previous visits but none for 15 years. Highlights were the chilled pea soup, tuna crudo, crab cake and trout were amazing. Big piece of fish perfectly prepared.

Our dinner at the Ivy Inn rates among the best dining experiences we have had in years. From the service, to the cocktails, to the dinner itself, everything was exceptional. I highly recommend the ham biscuit appetizer and the grilled trout. We will definitely be back for our next special occasion.

it's my favorite restaurant in Charlottesville to go for a special occasion. The food is always cooked to perfection and is consistently good. Every course was excellent. Cannot wait to go back!

We cannot sing the praises of the Ivy Inn enough. We recently celebrated our daughter's graduation there with elderly grandparents in the party. When we arrived, I confidently asked for our reservation; when they didn't have it, I realized that I had managed to accidentally cancel the reservation instead of confirming it the day before. We were a party of 7, and it was a Friday night. This was fully my fault as year the managed to seat us and serve us impeccably throughout the evening. I was sure we'd be asked to leave. The fact that they squeezed us in despite my mistake speaks volumes about their customer service.

Great drinks , food and service. Portion sizes were perfect and flavors were flawless. Perfect for a special occassion.

Dining at The Ivy Inn was a highlight of my trip to Charlottesville. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the halibut entree, which was cooked to perfection - crispy out the outside and moist on the inside. The sticky toffee pudding dessert (one of my favorites) was the best I've ever had. The service was stellar. I look forward to visiting Charlottesville again and dinner at The Ivy Inn will definitely be on my itinerary.

So quaint, great for a romantic date night. Food was delicious and service was wonderful.
