Very nice place to try something that is no longer the fad that it was in the 70s. Took a friend who had never done any fondu and she was having a lot of fun with the experience.

The food was good. This kind of dining is not order, eat, and run...so go only if you have TIME to actually sit, have conversations, and eat slowly. The fondu to cook the meats gets better and better the longer it simmers...so plan to be there a good while and dont hurry.

We left full (we did the full 3 course with cheese fondu, salad, entree, and dessert) and were allowed to cook and take home any leftovers we had on the table.

But, word of warning, if you do just one course, you might find that the offerings seem a bit sparse.

Especially considering that, in America, most places serve 2 to 3 times the reccommended portion size for a meal, and most everyone has come to EXPECT that ginormous feed bag to be rolled out for you when eating out. You are NOT going to get the equivalent of a 16oz Tbone with a giant baked potato, a salad, and hot veggie.

You WILL get variety, fresh food to cook to your taste, conversation, two hours of giggling over having to use the 'rescue spoon', and an experience that, unless you grew up in the 70s, that is new and different.

Our waiter was Fantastic. He was super friendly and attentive young man from a huge family (wishing I could remember his name), and he made the evening very enjoyable.

He knew the ingredients that went into everything and was able to warn my gluten intolerant friend away from a few choices that would have made her unhappy for a few days. It is possible that he knew all this because he has allergies of his own and knows how hard it can be to deal with, but whatever the reason, he was Exceptional!

Amazing service by Leighann. The steak was well seasoned and tender. Bacon ranch salad was exceptionally good.

Oh my gosh, where do I begin? this place was so lovely especially since it was our first time there. Our server Hunter was hands down the greatest guy ever! He was attentive, gave us tips, recommendations and was also pretty funny. Will be definitely coming back again. I also loved how this one lady practically sprinted after us to give me back my jacket that I had left!! 10/10🤩

Worst experience ever and on Valentines of all days! Despite having a reservation, the restaurant failed to honor it, making us wait an hour. The tables shown in their online photos were split so that I had to be seated in the same table as another couple separated only by a divider. When I complained of the situation the manager/owner was rude, spiteful and petty. After trying to work out a solution to try and enjoy valentines evening we decided it'd be best to leave since the pettiness of this manager was gonna have us wait all night for service on a reservation we already had. The cherry on the cake was that, I wasn't even charged according to OpenTable’s policy which is 50 dollars per person in cases of a No-Show, I was not a No-Show I was there??? Regardless they Instead, they charged me $216 for an entire dinner that I never even had. Vis-à-vis fraud. Completely unprofessional and dishonest service. Never had a experience like that before and if you want to avoid that, avoid this place!

We arrived at 9:50pm and stayed until after midnight, ultimately having to cancel our last course due to timing issues. This was unlike any experience we’ve had at other Melting Pot locations. The only highlight was our server, who was incredibly kind and provided excellent recommendations. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not justify the cost. The food is very mediocre for a bill over $250.

We ate there this evening for a combined Valentines and birthday dinner for two. They were serving a special menu for Valentines. The food was delicious, the portions were just right and our server, Cole, took excellent care of us. We'll be back!

Super overpriced. The waitress was nice but the food did not deserve the money I paid. Super disappointed. Incredibly cheap food was served.

We booked a private experience at the Charlottesville location for February 15th. My partner booked 3 months in advance and received multiple confirmations on this reservation. When we arrived we were brought to a regular table, we were not informed that our private room was not available until brought to the table. When we asked to speak to a manager she was condescending and had no intentions of making the mistake right. We understand that the date we selected was popular but it is absolutely unacceptable that we made a reservation for an experience that was not going to happen. We asked if they had over booked and were told no, this seems like ridiculous response considering we did not receive the experience promised. We are incredibly disappointed with the entire situation.

I made a reservation a month and a half in advance for the VIP experience, I even offered to pay ahead of time to reserve my spot for a Valentine’s Day surprise for my fiancee who had never been. I was assured that I would have our table ready and was even sent a text the day before confirming. When we got there a half our early they said “we’re sorry we made a mistake and overbooked” and offered to give us free flowers.
