It's a pretty small place, but we were there around 2pm and they close at 3pm, so there wasn't a wait. The food came out very quickly and we had a really nice server. The Pedro’s breakfast burrito with chorizo, egg and cheese was really good. The chicken and waffles had hot honey on the chicken, which was just the right amount of spice. The waffle was really light and fluffy. They did a great job with the gooey grilled cheese and the tomato soup was great. The Commonwealth breakfast was a lot of food – fried green tomatoes, cheesy grits, eggs, Virginia ham, and a biscuit – all delicious. The best dish, we thought, was the tater tot poutine with the yummy sausage gravy, bacon, and cheese curds. The tots were crispy and the gravy was creamy and outstanding. It was a very good meal and a fun little diner.
This is a good college town restaurant. All the folks and they are very nice and the food is yummy.

I had the corned beef hash breakfast with scrambled eggs and I added a biscuit and gravy. The eggs especially were wonderful, definitely seem farm fresh. The potatoes were delicious too...ok so really everything was great! Faith was super friendly and fast, everyone here made me feel very welcome for my first visit here. Will definitely be coming back!

We love The Nook! It's one of our go to places whenever we visit Charlottesville. The staff is top notch and friendly. We love dining outside with our dog. Especially, for breakfast. Do yourself a favor and visit the Charlottesville icon. You won't be disappointed.
I stopped by yesterday to grab some food, i've heard great things about it so I decided to try it out. The food was wonderful, but the manager Mike needs some improvement. I overheard him being very disrespectful to his employees. He stopped by once to introduce himself but gave bad vibes and didn't speak much which disappointed me but I don't think I will go back if he works there because it gave the employees a bad vibes and I could tell they were upset by his actions and how he acted towards them.

Been here so many times over the years. I have had almost everything on the menu. We travel two hours to eat here. The Breakfast selections are AMAZING. Truck Stopper sandwich is spot on. Appetizers, Alle carte sides, Sandwich's (club, Rueben, BLT, grilled Cheese, Crab cake Sandwich) Wraps, Burgers, Salads, Milkshakes, Alcoholic Milkshakes, I have never had a complaint on anything I have ordered. The last time I was here the BBQ meatloaf was spot on. Today I had the open faced roast beef and the Mrs. had the turkey. Sweet tea is the best. Great beer and cocktails and shots as well. We will be back soon!

Great little breakfast place. Fast service, good prices and quality food. Arrived around 8:30am on a Tuesday and were promptly seated. Highly recommend.

I wanted to love this place but unfortunately the food really let us down. We visited Charlottesville on 8/3 and thought this place would be the perfect start to our day but the flavors were just not there.
The service was good but I can’t visit a place that tastes like generic hotel breakfast lol. We could have just done that instead.
We ordered two sets of eggs Benedict, a waffle, French toast (I forgot what else). The eggs had little to no hollandaise sauce and was under seasoned. The potatoes tasted freezer burned or like stale. I looove “homefries”/breakfast potatoes but these tasted unpleasant. My son didn’t think the waffle had much flavor. Maybe it was a bad day but I rather go to Waffle House or first watch than an over hyped restaurant next time.

I can't say enough good things about this place, especially about our server, Faith. She was absolutely amazing, not just when my group dined there, but also when we sat outside while exploring the mall, she would bring us water and check on us! She goes above and beyond for her customers and is extremely warm and kind-hearted! I'm here from multiple states away but if I'm ever back in the area, I WILL visit again!
