A cozy dining ambience at the Omni Hotel! Food was delicious and fairly price. Service was cordial and professional.

We have been doing Mother's Day brunch at the Omni for 30 years. In past year's the Atrium was filled with brunch and lunch items, crepe stations, omlette stations, etc. This year it was significantly scaled down with no fish or chicken protein options. My husband and I both have alpha-gal and cannot have red meat, pork or dairy. Even the fruit was mixed with meat and cheese, so we basically could only have egg, salad and asparagus. Normally we eat like kings with at least 2-3 chicken dishes and several fish and shrimp choices. To top that off, the prices had increased signifantly costing us $300 (includes tip) for 3 people. When we asked where the fish and chicken choices were, we were told they could make us some chicken in the kitchen, but we had already eaten what was available. It's not that we expect restaurants to cater to our condition, but because we knew we would be getting many choices from previous years, this is where we chose to spend Mother's Day. It's saddens me to break the tradition, which began with taking my mother there, who has now passed on and in past years creates special memories for me. It's terribly sad that everything costs more and gives so much less these days.

DONT BOOK HERE--YOU MAY END UP EATING IN THE PUBLIC LOBBY SPACE NOT THE RESTAURANT!!!!!!! Food was room service quality. The photos online of Hillcock Neighborhood kitchen look so charming and the menu looked very southern and perfect for a ladies reunion lunch, but they did not seat us in the restaurant but in the VERY OUTDATED back hotel lobby by a fountain. To make matters worse we had to order off the hotels very condensed menu. No southern fare, just salads and very ordinary ones at that.

No disclosure about price of excessively overpriced brunch buffet. Nothing on website or open table when booked reservations to indicate we were booking such an expensive experience. Also no notice of the price once we walked in or were seated. While the food was good it was way more than expected and we also did not have the mimosas which may have been included in the price. Not sure because that was never explained to us about what was included.

Omni lost their computers and our reservation the night before. The manager required cash only after we started eating. Lucky us we had arrived a few minutes early for our reservation because the restaurant closed at our confirmed time.

The experience was not good for us! They were admittedly having issues that day. $25 a person and my daughter did not eat anything. The food quality was LOW when we sat down and after looking at g at the options my husband waited a while to get a plate to begin eating. The best part was the staff who were trying really hard to make everything okay. Still spending over $80 for this experience left a horrible taste in my mouth.

Disclaimer: This review is for a very particular situation that may not be generally applicable. We had post-Thanksgiving Day brunch for a large family group at Hillock. The night before, we made 4 separate reservations to insure a place, and the Omni/Hillock Staff was then able to kindly put us in a private room for what turned out to be some 30 people (locals and hotel guests) with easy access to the breakfast buffet. The renovation of the Hotel has, in our estimation, been transformative. The touches from artwork to interior design create a warm, welcoming environment. Would call breakfast buffet perfectly adequate for our toddler to great-grandparent range. What really stood out for us was the service. From use of the room to the constant addition of diners as friends and family happened upon us and more chairs/settings were needed to side orders, requests were met with a smile and quick/effective/non-intrusive service. So, for our family and friends on this particular day- it was close to perfect.

This was our first time eating at the Omni & expected everything to be exceptional. Very disappointed. First of all, there was no bread, not even a dinner roll, which there should be with a Thanksgiving dinner. The portions were ok but everything was barely warm, as if plates were made up ahead of when served. I had to ask for gravy. The butternut squash soup had a wonderful taste & texture, but again just warm, & there should be more than 3 or 4 pepitas if it is described as "with pepitas". And I should add that our desserts made the rounds & returned to the kitchen 3 times because the person serving didn't know which table to bring them to. It felt like it was staffed with inexperienced temps. Sorry, Omni, expected the experience to be great.

I cannot praise Hillock Kitchen too highly. Every aspect couldn't have been more perfect. The food, ambiance, menu, help, cost added up to one of the best dining experiences ever. I hope to become a regular!

This for the special event dinner this past Thanksgiving. Bottom line is that for the two of us the main interest turned out merely to be eating Turkey Day dinner not at home. The food was less than mediocre. For instance the desert I chose (apple pie and icecream) turned out to be exactly like thawed out product available at any neighborhood grocery store. The chocolate moose (spelling?) my wife had was same sort of thing. Entree choices were steak, salmon, roast turkey. We both had turkey. Wife said her serving was tasty. And apparently tender (since she ate it without whine). On the other hand mine was over cooked: dry and no taste. (It was a skin-side cut). Our disappointment is magnified by/grounded on the poor cousin relationship versus the Thanksgiving dinners offered before covid. Back then there was a certain amount of festive atmosphere. Not this time. The before covid events were buffet style. This time from menu. One good thing about absence of buffet: I did not overeat the way I did in buffet times. Before covid: the deserts were high quality: not particularly spectacular, but VERY good. and there was a wide assortment. I hope Omni will build back to what Tday used to be.

Breakfast potatoes and sausage were both cold. Eggs were ok. Waiter not unpleasant but not pleasant either. Hotel and staff were extremely pleasant and professional. Room was lovely but bathroom tub needs grab bar to get in & out.

This is a quaint and pleasant in establishment restaurant with quality food and drinks. Our bartender Ken was a gem and made us feel like we were regulars right away. Try the Rum Punch , it is a fruity libation you don't want to miss and the flatbread pizzas are rustic and spot on ! Stop in and enjoy all the Pointe has to offer !
