I tell you, places like these are almost gone. The best service, atmosphere and food. Our server was absolutely fantastic. It gives you the feel and vibe of the 60's. 8 come here every time I come to Charlottesville. My wife and I actually travel across route 250 and bypass all the other restaurants to have breakfast on the tip top of Pantops mountain.
Great little mom and pop place close to the hotel. Mostly a mix of Italian and Greek dishes with breakfast foods also being a focus.
Reataraunt is clean and you can tell the locals like the food. I had the gyro dinner and fried mushrooms. Everything tasted good and salad was fresh. Portion size I thought was large, so you will never hear me complain about that. All the food came out hot as well. Very solid food which shows for a mom and pop restaurant that...

I should have gotten breakfast.
The onion rings were room temperature onion slices wrapped in undercooked batter and grease ooze.
The hamburger was warm and tasty and my wife's pasta was hot and delicious.
Service was about what I expect from a 'one hit wonder' place...couldn't have cared less if anything was off or if we were alive or not.
I understand this place wins all sorts of awards...wish...
