Went over for lunch break with three coworkers the food was delicious waitress, and all the staff we're playing a board game at the bar very loud never came back to the table to ask us if we needed anything. I had to get up and get our own ketchup and our own salt and pepper. They didn't even notice that we were getting it from the counter. Nobody came to ask us if our food was OK ask the boy that brought us our food the runner to get us silverware finally after we've been there for a long time getting ready to leave after we finish eating the girl ask us did we want our checks and she brought them over to us and we paid online and that was it no communications no service. It was horrible. The only good thing about it was the food was delicious.

Waitress Julie never gave us silverware, checked on drinks, or checked on us at all. 😢 The food was exceptional but will never dine in again !!

One seldom encounters such transcendent juxtaposition — the unassuming environs of a weathered Irish pub serving a dish that verges on the sublime. The steak wontons arrive as delicate golden reliquaries, their crisp exteriors giving way to a tender interior of carnivorous reverence. Each bite unfolds like a sonnet to umami, balanced by the faintest whisper of grease — a reminder of their humble birthplace. The dipping sauce, audacious in its simplicity, lingers with the restraint of a chef who understands when to stop short of excess. In this unlikely temple of Guinness and neon, I tasted something perilously close to grace.

Decent for lunch or something food is pretty cheap and service is average. Atmosphere sucks especially after 9. Too crowded to the point it's uncomfortable and difficult to get around, and unlike the Virginian, there's no respite where you can hang out off to the side or something. Just too much effort when you could go to Virginian or Boylan and not suffer.
TLDR Highly overrated

Worker pulled chair out from under me when trying to move chairs and tables. Great service from bartenders though. All other workers were extremely rude.
Will never return! Staff is absolutely horrible and I never been spoken to so rudely.

Yo, I was here twords closing. Dance room empty, but I came to dance my heart out, crowd or otherwise. Yet, this made me stand out, and Trinity doesn't like different. The deemed me "too drunk." and without evaluation kicked me out with escort. Trinity is close minded to those that aren't like the rest, deeming them "weird." They pose as an open welcoming, but in fact are hostile to those that stick out. Woe be to the engaging and expressive souls.

My husband and I were visiting Charlottesville and decided we wanted a hamburger so thought a tavern would be a great spot . This visit was a non repeater! I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone above 20! The girl who sat us was less than enthused and definitely didn't work for tips. There were 3 college aged persons behind the bar! They were more concerned with hanging out with each other than working. I should have known better to dine in here around 2pm when no one else was dining. The hamburgers were that of a college cafeteria!

Bartenders tip themselves here. Don’t be surprised to get charged 3 times what you payed for drinks. This place steals your money! Absolute garbage.
