Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I regularly order online and in person from this store. My smoothie is always perfect and ready when I arrive. I'm always greeted even when the staff are very busy! On the occasion I order in the store, my order is made correctly and in a timely manner.

Love love love detox smoothie with peanut butter and yogurt added. Hate hate hate how inconsistent the smoothies are. Sometimes perfect and others bleh, as though they’re not adding the extras I’ve paid for (I can taste the difference in peanut butter particularly). Also, an appropriate response to “thank you” is not a scowl and “yup” whilst handing over a shitty smoothie. Two stars in service because occasionally someone will be a minimum amount of pleasant.

At 6:15 (11/7), no tables were set out, they seemed to be cleaning, and the lady was extremely rude and unwelcoming. She scoffed at us when we attempted to order and seemed like she did not want us to be there what so ever. I understand everyone has their days but the level that she went to, made us uncomfortable.

Keith was the best employee I have ever experienced at tropical smoothie. The employees are all good but he was just went above and beyond. He also made the best smoothie I have had there at tropical smoothie. Lastly his service has made me want to return and get smoothies from tropical smoothie more often.

The daytime manager is fantastic! Idk her name, but she has that place running perfectly. Evening shift is a whole other story though...

I put in a review for another TSC location in Glen Allen for an order from yesterday, so felt it was only fair to put in one for this location when ordering the same exact thing today (Chia Banana Boost smoothie with extra peanut butter). This experience was a complete 180. I have been to this location at Pantops multiple times for this specific drink, as well as food, and it has been amazing every time. Thank you!

I don’t know what’s wrong with the girl with the ear phones in working today but she makes it very clear she does not want to be there. Customer service is sorely lacking at this location. At least the smoothie was good.

Great smoothies and delicious food!

Great customer service and amazing food is worth the drive. Micheal and Fernando provided just that. First of all walked into a great atmosphere greeted immediately. Noticed that the colors of the straws and shirts have changed however CHANGE is good. Very clean establishment and very friendly experience. My yogurt bowl was exactly what I needed. Left with a smile 😃 Thank you for an around PHENOMENAL encounter. You guys ROCK 🤘

We came in around 630 on a Thursday. There were no lines and two people working. I saw the lady stop making our smoothies 3 times while checking her phone. We ordered two smoothies and are glad they were made fresh but her on the cell phone made it take even longer. He got a blueberry strawberry banana and it tasted terrible. Totally watered down, like they used too much ice. He took it back. The women was very rude during our entire visit, then he had to go back in but they made it right. The bahama mama tastes better. The guy said the lady was new. She needs to learn how to make smoothies correctly the first time.

I usually find this chain to be consistent across locations, but I was a little disappointed in the fulfillment of my order at this location. I used mobile ordering and when I arrived to pick up my order, the bag of the food I ordered and the two smoothies were sitting in the mobile order pickup area. At other locations, the smoothies are kept in the cooler until you come in to pick up the order, so these smoothies ended up more liquid than usual. Then, when I got to the car, I looked into the bag to double-check the order and saw that one of the two sandwiches I ordered was not included. I had to go back in and the second sandwich was just being finished and put into a second bag and wasn't even at the mobile pickup shelf. Then, when eating, we noticed the sandwiches did not have the same amount of sauces we are used to from other locations. Specifically, a lack of pesto on the pesto chicken flatbread and less salsa on the Jamaican jerk chicken wrap. The food is still very good and the smoothies are delicious, but the order did not seem up to the standards we are used to from other locations.
