I've only been to Uncle Maddio's once before, and for that trip I would've given it 4 stars, but for this one only a 3. If there was a 3 1/2 star option that's what I'd give it. This trip I got a calzone with steak, pepperoni, cheese, and jalapeños and it was pretty good actually, the presentation was nice. My mom ended up getting just a small pizza with pepperonis, banana peppers, and spicy sausage. I tried a bite of that and it was good too. The food was about the same for both trips, above average. The thing that was lacking this time was a memorable customer service experience. Last time we were there the two guys working were so happy to be there and were just fun to talk to, and helpful. This time, not so much. Overall, a pretty decent experience. I'll definitely return in the future.

Absolutely the worst service ever!!! The young lady who answered the phone said we close at 9 so I could not order a pick up-it was 8:30! I am sure the owners would be very upset to know they just loss money because their employee was too lazy to do her job! Super disappointing, lost our business!

Uncle Maddio's is in a great location right on Route 29. Thankfully for me, it is also right in front of Costco! Nice fast casual restaurant with a great product. On this occasion I ordered a calzone for the first time. It was prepared in front of me with fresh quality ingredients. You watch it go straight into the oven. Based on their special, we also ordered a 10in 3 topping pizza. Meatballs, pepperoni, and banana peppers gave it a good texture and flavor. It comes out hot and delivered straight to your table. I also like that UM's also offered real silverware. I am one of the few that likes to cut their pizza with a knife and fork (don't judge). Actual silverware makes this a pleasant experience. Their special was to pick two items off a select list and get them each for $6.99 instead of the normal $8.99. They also offer a modest tap list with your local classics. Overall the location is clean and well kept. It offers TV which aired college basketball while we were there. There is no outdoor seating, so keep that in mind if you are traveling with your pup.

A good place for a quick meal with fresh ingredients. They seem to always have a special offer or look them up in the Charlottesville edition of the Attractions coupon book. The coupon is valid for a done in visit with up to $10 off. Every Thursday is pizza and a pint for $9.99. Service is quick and things come straight out of the oven. During our last visit, we split a personal pizza with meatballs, pepperoni, and banana peppers and a calzone with ricotta, ham, and green peppers.

If you like old cold tasteless leather you'll love this pizza. No flavor, cold, leathery crust, and all in all disgusting. A huge disappointment. It actually tasted like it was made days ago and microwaved. SImply awful.

After visiting Monticello, we stopped for a bite to eat...the vote was local pizza. Uncle Maddio had the most votes so we went. It was COLD outside and cool inside. The setup reminded me of Your Pi. Individual pizza but this place offered medium and large. We ordered one medium supreme and one individual with steak, pepperoni and bacon along with 3 soft drinks. $40. Pizza was perfect. Nice crisp on the crust, fresh seasoned toppings. All were satisfied with the portions. Cool place to go for pizza if you are in Charlottesville. I see why so many 5 stars. Excellent service, clean spot and short wait time. And great pizza.

I loved that I could pick the size and each ingredient to go on the pizza. Then the pizza was put in the oven and in no time was brought to the table.

Pizza was ok but the crust was too doughy, and too much cheese and sauce for a small pizza. I like a thinner less substantial crust.

This is THE place for vegan pizza in Charlottesville. Really really great. Just check the ingredients list on their website first, then enjoy a cheesy, whole wheat vegan pizza!

I really like the Maddio's Meal for lunch. It's a 3-topping personal pizza, a side salad, & a drink for $8.99+tax. It's filling, fresh, quick, & very YUMMY!

I rate this above and beyond 5 stars! To find anything good to eat in Charlottesville is most likely an epic fail, let alone pizza... but Maddio’s is AMAZING!!! Perfect portion, not greasy and sloppy... even the salad was perfection!!!! I highly recommend!!!
