We stopped on a very busy Sunday morning and service was a bit slow, but the manager kept us posted on the status of our order and apologized for the delay, giving us a break on the bill which was nice. Food was tasty and delicious and I would not hesitate to stop by again the next time we are through Charlottesville

Wait time was about 2 hours! They accidentally crossed our names off the waiting list. We ended up waiting 1 hour to get seated. Food did not serve for another 45 min.
Waiters are rude/grumpy because they are busy and tired.
The prices are cheap but it is just not worth the wait time and the disrespect.

I had such a wonderful experience at Villa Diner! The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. My waitress, Kaitlin, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The host staff was also incredibly friendly — on our second visit, the host even gave my daughter a lollipop, which absolutely made her day!
I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day with my sister and daughter before heading back home out of state. Villa Diner has a welcoming atmosphere, great service, and food that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here many times, this is easily the best, most hospitable breakfast place in Charlottesville. Definitely get there early on the weekends because everyone loves this place, so there is usually a short wait. Even with a wait, they’re so quick in every aspect of their service. Anytime friends or family visit, we always make sure to bring them by here.

Great diner! Reasonable prices, breakfast is hot, fresh ingredients, eggs nice and fluffy(not powdered or premade). The biscuits are warm, tasty! Tables fill up quickly in the morning, get there early or expect brief wait, but it is worth it Friendly, prompt service!

I've been coming to the villa pretty regularly for about the past year or so, and to the villa since it was at its old location. Food wise, they're still awesome, but the service is hit or miss depending on the server. I was there about 2 or so weeks ago with someone else, and we got seated and everything was fine for the most part. Our server was a bit distant, but she was getting us our stuff and we didn't pay much attention to it, as people have bad days. Eventually though and not long after we'd finished our food, one of the (I assume) managers started arguing with our server about bussing tables, and was making a scene over it, and in front of all of the guests told Chuck (I assume another manager of some kind) to not seat her anymore. This was extremely unprofessional, as that is the kind of thing you handle in the back, or outside. It ended up extending our time being there, and made it unnecessarily awkward. It makes it hard to want to come back knowing he's still there, which is surprising with as long as he's been with them. He was at the location across from the training field even when I was a kid. The owners are great, but I would be weary of going back personally because of this.
