Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. When we walked in we went to the hostess counter to be seated and no one was around. We waited for a bit and finally a guy who was sitting outside visiting with folks on the front tables walked in and started clearing a back table. He came up to my husband and asked if we needed help and we said yes we were wanting to dine in. I honestly don’t even know if this guy worked for the restaurant or was just helping out friends that worked there, but he got us seated. The restaurant had a few full tables and a couple of people at the bar, but certainly wasn’t very crowded or busy for a Saturday evening. After we were finally in our booth a guy came by about 5 minutes later and brought us some waters. He dropped the waters by and he immediately turned around to leave. I had to stop him to ask him about other beverage options. Another 10-15 minutes pass and we see other tables get seated and served/orders taken. My husband got up from the booth and went to place our order with someone at the front of the restaurant. While my husband was ordering up front the guy that brought us the waters came by and said “has she come to get your order yet?” I said no my husband had to go up front to order because no one has come by. When we finally got our food, it was a huge disappointment. To summarize - cornbread was cold, Mac & cheese was cold, BBQ beans were still hard and not cooked all the way through, smoked chicken was tough and not warm, BBQ sauce servings were extremely small for 12 oz of meat. It was a $50 meal and really only the chicken wings and pulled pork were ok. I don’t know if this evening was an off night or if something went wrong today, but I hope for future patrons that you have a better experience than we did.

Best food in town!

Probably the best BBQ that I have had in the Charlottesville and surrounding area. They also make their own potato chips….they are outstanding and you get a large portion for only $4.

100% great place to try in the Charlottesville area... Completely blown away by the service and food as they were both top-notch... Freshness, proportion, and price were all great.. I would highly recommend giving this place to try if you're in there area..

Vision has an excellent BBQ. Their sides are great and the sandwiches piled high with pulled pork. They included homemade pickles! Their sauces are made in house. The service is quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place, if you are looking for some excellent BBQ.

Good BBQ joint close to downtown with free parking. Try it!

Brisket is AMAZING. Hand cut fries are delicious but the Mac & cheese…. Gross.

Food is nasty and they forgot my wife’s food on our anniversary!!!

Everything we ordered was amazing!! The staff was super cool and friendly. You must try the sauce sampler! You won’t regret it!!

So my family and I arrived and took a set at a table , after we made our order a pretty simple order at that. It was just a couple of burgers and fry’s , 45 mins later we still didn’t have our food . When it finally got to the table the fry’s where cold , the burger meat was the trim pieces from the briskets they cook anyway the one I had was full of gristle and really no flavor to it what so ever. Needless to say I won’t spend any more money there .

Great place to eat bbq! Not many places left like this place. Their meats Smoked on-site and they have a cool outside spot. I caught live music while eating some damn good bbq! Place did not disappoint!!

First off the place is huge, in a good way! Food was fantastic and is consistent. I’ve had everything now on menu and it’s all really good but the burnt ends are my favorite. The homemade pickles are to die for! It’s a must try kinda place. We are lucky to have this Gem!!
