Just go here! I don't normally write reviews but we ordered 4 items and they were all absolutely delicious, unique, and flavorful. The veggie peanut noodles (with the chili oil, it's super spicy) were wonderful as was the mango green tea. It is all outdoor seating, and we really enjoyed that. There is shade. Again, just go.
Great food. Loved the sandwich and the soup.
Pho and service were excellent!!!!
Hands down the best Pho I've ever had! The outdoor sitting is very cute, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. But the best part was the food!!!
Our favorite! Great people and great food!
Their pho has healing properties on me. Cold, flu, fever, or whatever- I get some pho for lunch and am 80% better by dinner time. Not to mention their pho is very tasty, and satisfies my pho cravings way more than many non vegan pho shops in town.
This place is an absolute gem! Do not be fooled by the humble exterior, the food is absolutely delicious with nothing disappointing on the menu. Even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian, the food is incredibly flavorful and you will forget that everything is plant based.
Eating at Vu increases my happiness.
We planned our day around having lunch here. (Since they are only open 11-3 and we live an hour away.) We tried to park in the lot across the street but got an alert that said (even though it was 75 percent empty) it was unavailable and we would be towed. So we found another “pay to park” 2 blocks away. We placed our order, and by the time I had a quick look at the Main Gallery next door, our food was ready. We got all the starters and ate the deep fried “Dumplings” immediately. They reminded me more of potstickers. They were crispy and delicious and the sesame dipping sauce was yummy. The Cheesy Wontons had a spinach dip flavor. The Ginger Lemongrass Tofu noodles were my favorite. It was loaded with flavor and the veggies on top were fresh. I highly recommend. My husband got the Coconut Potato Curry special (over rice noodles) and loved that too. We saved the Bon Mi and Spring Rolls for later. Happy Cow wouldn’t let me give it higher than a 4. Delicious food with nice size portions. The people are friendly and the vegan options are appreciated. Love this spot!

Their food is so good and I’m not even Vegetarian. Fresh vegetables and good flavor!
One of the most delicious vegan pho I’ve ever had! I used to eat vegan pho at a completely vegan Vietnamese restaurant in RVA, but unfortunately they closed.
So, this was an exciting find on my visit to C’ville.
You walk up to the front window, place your order. If you plan to dine “in” they’ll bring it out to you while you sit outside. There’s a bell at the side of the building to alert them that you’re there for pickup - assuming you probably ordered online?!
The pho was delicious and flavorful. They ran out of sprouts, but i hardly noticed. The ingredients were fresh, and you can tell that love was one of them. I requested cilantro and jalapeños. When you have jalapeños, you really don’t need the extra hot chili oil sauce. I didn’t have to use it. Btw that sauce is apparently house-made. No surprise, as the sweet owner (?) greeted me while I was eating outside with two friends I just made.
I also had hot chai, and it was delicious, especially on this cold afternoon.
That was where the stars dropped for me. It would have been perfect if there was a warm post of some sort nearby to help with the cold temperatures and the uninvited wind. I will say that this establishment is probably more of a takeout in the colder months as there are no indoor seatings. To its credit though, the pho did help to warm me up! Just thought to share in case anyone else thought (like I did) there was indoor dining.
Tiny and charming Vietnamese spot, heavy on the vegetarian/vegan fare. I tried their banh mi, which was excellent, flavorful and nicely spicy, especially with the requested jalapeños added.
Service was quick and courteous. Lovely experience.

This is a great hole in the wall. However, the portions are very small for bun. Additionally it's vegan. The tofu was barely cooked and a bit soggy even though fried. There is extremely little outdoor seating. It's cheap though!

Small vegetarian noodle shop that after years of walking past it is absolutely delicious. The Banh Mi was so good and I am normally not a tofu person.
