Four of us had delicious food, a nice Spanish rose, kind and attentive staff. Tuna tartar, key lime chicken, duck, and chile relleno all very good. We were eyeing enviously our neighbor’s flight of margaritas. The sorbet selection and churro were both yummy finishes.
My husband and I spent three nights in Charlottesville. We ended up eating at the Zocolo four times during out stay. Why? Well, the food was sooo delicious, the setting was very pretty and the staff were very friendly. The waiters, Zoe, John and Gianna were very welcoming and professional. We enjoyed meeting the owner, Will (?) who is from Mexico City, where we recently had visited. Will was very hospitable and even treated my husband and me to the most delicious pumpkin muffins....
Came here when it was rather empty and dinner just started. I had the spicy tuna to start and it was a lovely presentation. They were able to make it gluten and dairy free. I also had the duck with Swiss chard and side of my choice. I decided on spinach. It’s great that they ask about celiac and are aware of contamination. That’s a huge plus for accessibility.
