Real good fresh made pies. The chicken pot pie and key lime are my favorites.
That ham Sammich with bacon jam and apples was amazing, and so was the peach cinnamon sorbet
Very nice bakery and fresh products. Also have nice sandwiches, ice cream. Staff is nice. Top shop in the area
My family and I have been coming to Bergey’s Breadbasket since I was in middle school, I am a senior in college now. Today, my mom stopped by to grab a sandwich for us for lunch. We both got a half sandwich, mine had cheese, turkey and pickles. I know that isn’t a lot for a sandwich but there was barely anything on this sandwich compared to what it used to be! I still love this place and the workers are so friendly, but I am dissapointed in how our food was today considering we have been customers for years!! Of course we still ate the sandwich because we live an hour away now and consider this place a treat.
A Big Thank You to Joel Bergey!!
Today I was out on the water in a project canoe at Bob's Fishing Hole, testing my battery-powered project boat, when I started having problems. When I pulled out my paddle, I realized I was not going to be able to make it back against the strong headwind. I got myself close to a tree line and waited for help. As time went on, I started to get nervous—the sun goes down quickly this time of year.
I saw a boat coming my way and was relieved when they noticed me. As they slowed their approach and I explained my situation, the man on the boat said, “Have you ever felt you are meant to be where you are?” I said yes, and I was incredibly grateful for him and his family’s arrival.
Given the situation, we quickly exchanged names and got to work connecting our boats, as he agreed to tow me in. It wasn’t until we reached shore and shared our full names that I realized Joel’s connection to Bergey Farms. It was a “small world” moment for me—my family and a former nonprofit (Getsmart of Chesapeake) I used to lead had visited their farm in the past. To me, this is a testament to this family and the positive impact they have in our area, whether together or on their own.
I am truly thankful for the family business, and especially for Joel on a day like today. Bless you all and thank you once again for being exactly where you were meant to be!

Great stop! This place has an Amish market feel with a lot of local jams, homemade candies and snacks. As well as ice cream and sandwiches. We got some cupcakes and a sandwich both of which were really good. They also offer season things like a thanksgiving giving offering.
They have some outdoor seating for nice days and even a petting zoo. A lot of fun and great atmosphere.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!
Great place to go for deli sandwiches, baked goods, and ice cream. Great place to take the kids...there's a petting zoo behind the store.
A fun store with local products such as jam, pastries, and candy. Delicious!
Do you guys have any other food and not just sandwiches

My wife brought home $22.00 apple pie. It's terrible!
Excellent environment for young and old!
Reasonable prices and good sandwiches but price for petting zoo was way to much.
The best Ice cream I ever had.
