Carolina Cupcakery Bakery

Their website says they open at 10 but when you walk up to the door it is locked and the employees are just staring at you through the glass. We drove up here because this place is usually decent. 45 min drive for nothing ! Needed cupcakes because it is my daughter’s 5th birthday. If they are opening later they should at least put a sign on the door.

Honestly the design of the Cake wasn’t bad at all and I enjoyed watching them doing it But 🤨 I am so disappointed to receive something that it was totally different than what I have requested. The most important part about the Cake and it doesn’t matter if it’s going to be 2 layers or 1 layer was the taste of the cake. The moment I walked into the store I was specific about what the taste that I want. I have Told her that the first layer I want peaches 🍑 and the second layer I want pineapple 🍍 and the third layer I want strawberry and on the top we can add fresh strawberries 🍓. I have received the cake and I just couldn’t believe what I have done to my son’s 16 birthday party. It was so dry and she just added 2 layers of strawberries. What a disappointment to pay $154 dollars for a cake that was supposed to be so special for your loved one.

All the staff were super considerate and courteous and helpful. I called in a cake on Tuesday for Saturday and they did so amazing on my sister’s gluten free and dairy free red velvet with cheesecake icing cake.

Great location. Spoke with Marie the owner and did an excellent job going over what the Bakery has to offer. I will be doing all business here for any sweet teeth going forward. Also did a supreme job on a same day birthday cake!

I had a great experience with Carolina Cupcakery! I used their services for an event, and they were quick to reply and got everything planned out and ordered. I ordered brownies and jumbo cookies and they were super delectable. The brownies were some of the best brownies I have ever tasted, and the cookies were super yummy and they were as big as my face. I would order from them again!

The employees are always so nice and help me with my custom cake orders. They never disappoint me with the outcome love trying their new seasonal flavors when I stop in, the other day I tried a caramel pumpkin cheesecake gourmet cupcake and it was delish highly recommend

Recently ordered 2 cakes, cookies and cupcakes, my family and friends absolutely love it! Flavor, texture, etc were on point! Designs were perfect as well. My wife and I have been coming here for years and they have never disappoint. They have outstanding customer service, very friendly and their ability to take out idea and bring it to life is simply amazing!

They have great customer service! They have excecuted every cake/cookie/cupcake order perfectly & have followed the reference pic/my vision well! All of the baked items have been not only especially pleasing, but tasted great as well. My personal favorite is the almond flavor! They are also helpful if you are unsure about what you want or want a recommendation.

Wow, when they hit the mark, these cupcakes are really good! It’s definitely hit or miss, though. I get the “jumbo” size from one of their partners in Ocean View. I think they deliver 2-3 times a week. They’re usually great—airy, moist, and tall. Sometimes, they’re on the drier side, too dense, only fill half the liner, or undercooked in the middle. I wish they were more consistent. They did let me trade one in when I took a bite and found the texture was way off from what I’ve come to expect from them, so I appreciated that a lot.

Now I know to stick with the basic flavors: vanilla, almond, strawberry, lemon, red velvet…anything more creative is likely to go sideways. I tried a “strawberry daiquiri” today when my usual strawberry was sold out. They squeezed lime juice all over it, which left the cake sticky and soggy and ruined the crust of the buttercream. It also had a cloying artificial flavor that isn’t present in the regular strawberry cupcake…I can see why it was one of the last to sell. I’d like to see more standard flavors delivered, and perhaps management will consider reviewing some of these seasonal flavors.
