Took 20 minutes to be served after I arrived. Waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. I had to track the waitress down to get my check. Almost left without paying. Food was ok but services suck. I think they have gotten to big, so they think service is no longer needed. Also they will add 18% gratuity without telling you. I think that is another reason service sucks. I won’t be going back.

Love the vibe here, live music on certain days however, to charge an 18-20% to dine in I expect awesome service but the servers falls short every time which is highly disappointing! The food is ok, I return for the experience, it is a vibe! Just wished the arrogance amongst the staff would tone down, the owner is way down to earth everyone should follow suite. Just my observation. Wish they would consider bringing back the plantain nachos and sweet potato fries they were both a hit!

The happy hour deal is the way to go before 6 PM; especially if you’re going with friends. The lamb chops were delicious, the coconut shrimp yummy, the beef patties had a little bit of Zip, shrimp tacos were good, and the Jamaican jerk chicken needed a bit more flavor. The piña colada‘s and daiquiri very tasty.

We didn't go on a night with the band. We sat at the bar. This place is way overpriced. They attempted to add 18% gratuity to each of our bills, so we decided to combine them. I was totally fine with the drink prices, but for what we ordered and to have a 277 bill! I could have gone to a high end restaurant. The 2 bartenders were busy, so service could have been better. This was my first and likely last visit.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my wife at Cutlass Grille. It made my day much better and the food is top tier.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service was great. Please give a special shout out to our server, Qui/Que, for her wonderful service!
After leaving Geisha because they wouldn’t serve us walked across the parking lot to Cutlass Grille our experience was amazing the kids got to experience live music and dancing just amazing
I think me and my girls just chose a bad day to come in. But the food was really good and the atmosphere was relaxed. I like it better when they are playing music
Restaurantji Recommends
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. The service, food, live music, etc. all provide an excellent experience. Our group was there for a graduation celebration, and everyone received excellent service. Our two servers gave great recommendations, and our food was brought out hot in a timely manner. We never had to ask for things more than once, and that's not an easy feat with large groups.
The kids' food came out hot and before the adult entrees, which was greatly appreciated by all. This allowed the children to be taken care of first and the parents to be able to eat their food while it was fresh and hot ( all parents know what it's like to have to eat your food cold after you've fed the kids).
Everything we had was delicious! I had the beef ribs, and they were flavorful and tender.
The live music added an element of comfort and familiarity. Good food+ family + good music = a good time!!
I will definitely be back soon!!
Good food.
Leaving this review for my own reference so that I remember to never order Oxtails from here again.
This review is for oxtails, the staff is always friendly and prompt no complaints there.
In town visiting, Jamaican/carribean food is few and far between here so when I am in town this is one of the few options that comes up… I’ve given this place a chance several times but I must say these are the worst jamaican oxtails I’ve ever had… if you are looking for roast beef soup with bones, then this is your place… the seasonings used leave a lot to be desired, this food is not authentic at all. The meat and gravy have two different tastes also which was weird too. To make things worse they charge $35 bucks for this trash. As an Oxtail lover I’m used to paying a premium for this cut of beef but I also expect premium quality for that price, I did not receive that. I have had better Jamaican food/oxtails for much less…. I guess they feel competition is limited they don’t have to price reasonably. Not sure of an alternative in this area so I just will wait till to get back to the DMV where real Jamaicans cook Jamaican food 😂
Oxtails were awesome. So flavorful and tender. The collard greens were amazing as well.
I am married to a Jamaican and we cook Jamaican food on a regular at home so we are well versed on the food, portion sizes and cost of ingredients that are typical for Jamaican food/restaurants/home cooking. We came here because we were here from SC and not home to cook. While the food was flavorful I have to say over $70 for 2 people was ridiculous. We got 2 meals and 1 desert. No drinks. The bread pudding was a little dry. And why do you only get 1 side? I have never been to any Jamaican restaurant here or in Jamaica that only serves 1 side. C’mon cabbage, rice, noodles are all a super cheap ingredient so to charge this much money and not give your customers 2 sides is not cool. Would never visit here again. All other restaurants I have been to including others in VA all gave you mountains of food and 2 sides. I just feel robbed. Again food tasted good but not enough for the kind of money charged. Restaurant had a good feel/vibe to it.
